October 16 – WSL Football has raised the curtain on a “wide-ranging” collaboration with Apple, aimed at transforming the way the women’s game is played, coached, and officiated at the top level.
The agreement is designed to “raise performance standards” across the league while addressing disparities in access to professional-level technology – a hiccup which has now been solved by the richest company in the world in its first proper delve into Women’s sport in Britain.
Under the partnership, all FA Women’s Super League (WSL) clubs and officials will be equipped with Apple products – including the MacBook Pro, iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and AirPods Pro 3 – to support coaching, match analysis, and real-time decision-making.
WSL Football hope that the tech will help matchday operations become more streamlined, with iPad Air devices introduced for digital team sheets and live match reporting by fourth officials, replacing paper-based systems and improving administrative efficiency.

“That spirit of innovation deeply resonates with our aspirations for women’s football, and Apple’s products will help provide a solution for disparity in club technology access and team performance analysis.”
Apple, which has previously integrated its technology into Major League Baseball, the NHL, and the World Surf League, will hope to apply similar innovation to the women’s game in the UK.
