There has been some fresh reports in the media which has claimed that Mikel Arteta would like Arsenal to sign Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao when the Janaury transfer window opens up in just a few weeks time.

Interest from Arsenal over a deal for Williams has dyed down towards the end of the summer transfer window as Williams’ apparent preference to stay in Spain, but according to rumours – the Gunners, who are willing to meet his £48million release clause, could make a fresh move in the January window.

Arsenal journalist Charles Watts claims that Arteta sees the need for reinforcements in attack, believing the squad currently lacks depth in this area, and Williams is a player that Mikel Arteta would very much like to sign in the upcoming transfer window

Williams, who scored eight goals and laid on 19 assists for Ernesto Valverde’s side in 2023/24 and is aiming for another impressive campaign with the club, and is not too worried about his future right now and is now looking to leave in the January window

“I’m not thinking about my future now. I’m so happy to be at Athletic, fans are happy too,” Williams recently told El Mundo.

“Bilbao is my home, I’m really happy and I want to enjoy it here. I want to bring Athletic at the best level. The dream is that Europa League final at San Mamés.”

Joe Cole believes Marcus Rashford would be ‘much better’ at ARSENAL amid speculation Manchester United are prepared to sell the forward when the January transfer window opens up in just a few weeks time.

He really struggled last season under boss Erik Ten Hag and has only managed to score 8 goals in all competitions for United, which is not good enough for a player of his ability and quality when he is on top of his game, and he has not been any better this season.

According to the Telegraph, United started welcoming bids for the 27-year-old last summer following a drastic loss of form, and are ready to let him leave the club when the January window opens up next month, and could accept just £40 million for the star

Now, Speaking about this latest rumour, Joe Cole has claimed that Rashford could be a great signing for Arsenal, During an interview with Football Insider, Cole remarked: “I’ll throw one in for you.

‘Reports today [suggest] Marcus Rashford may be moved on. He would be a hell of a signing because that’s where they’ve got to shop now, Arsenal, on the left side. They’ve got to shop [for] the very, very top players to improve this Arsenal team.”

Rashford has been poor for a while now, he has looked like a player that has no interest in playing on a weekly basis and looks like a player that is distracted by issues off the field.

ARSENAL would be a good move for any player to make, they are one of the best in Europe right now and a side that play attractive football. But we cant see Rashford heading to the Emirates, he would struggle to get any game time.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out with Rashford, but maybe the best thing for the player is to leave England and start fresh in another League, he would struggle at most sides in the Premier League with the way that he is playing.

ARSENAL TO HOLD VLAHOVIC TALKS

There has been some fresh reports which have suggested that ARSENAL may be in with a chance of landing Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic in the upcoming transfer window, if they want to sign a striker.

A report from Fichajes has revealed the asking price that Juventus have set for any teams thinking of moving for the forward in the January window, giving a potential green light to a move.

A report from Charlie Watts has claimed that the Serbian international striker could be on his way out of Serie A club Juventus because of his premium wages, as The Old Lady want him to reduce his wage upon his contract renewal, which is not what the player would like

The 24-year-old striker earns £200,000-a-week wages at Juventus, and the Serie A club could be forced to sell him because of that, as he will not take a pay cut. The development will come as a major boost for clubs hoping to sign him.

The reports add that Arsenal have planned to hold talks with the Italians over a potential move in January

Reporter Iomie Stanley recently claimed he could be a great signing for Arsenal: “Vlahovic was a name hugely linked in connection with signing for the Gunners in 2022 and has been regularly named in transfer windows since.

“Having scored 44 goals in 109 Serie A games for Fiorentina, he decided instead to make a £66.6million move to Juventus over Arsenal and is once again banging in the goals on a weekly basis.
