Where You’ve Seen the Cast of Cross Before

Where You’ve Seen the Cast of Cross Before

New to Prime Video on November 14, 2024, Cross is the latest adaptation based on the James Patterson fictional detective. The dramatic crime series concerns the investigative exploits of Alex Cross (Aldis Hodge), a skilled forensic expert and criminal psychologist who delves into the twisted minds of those he apprehends to understand their violent behavior.

Denzel Washington and Tyler Perry famously portrayed the character in the panned movies Kiss the Girls, Along Came a Spider, and Alex Cross, allowing Aldis Hodge to repair the character’s reputation in the new TV adaptation. Those tuning into Prime Video to see how faithfully the show adapts Patterson’s popular source novels will recognize the talented supporting cast from several recent movies and TV shows. Here’s the cast and characters featured in Cross.

American actor Aldis Hodge portrays the protagonist Alex Cross in Cross. The star of James Patterson’s Alex Cross novel series since 1993 (and still going), Alex Cross is a highly skilled criminal investigator specializing in forensic psychology in Washington, D.C. To catch serial killers and other hyper-violent criminals, Alex risks his morality and mental health by attempting to get inside their minds to understand their motives. In the new Prime Video original TV series, things get personal when Alex goes after the person who murdered his wife Maria (Chaunteé Schuler Irving).

With nearly 90 credits since 1995, Hodge is a versatile actor many will recall from the hit TV series Leverage, in which he played the role of Alec Hardison in 77 episodes from 2008 to 2012. Hodge’s TV credits include Leverage: Redemption, City on a Hill, Underground, Black Mirror, and more. Hodge’s notable movie credits include The Invisible Man, Black Adam, Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earth, and the upcoming Dutchman.

Bill Nunn and Edward Burns previously portrayed John Sampson in the movie adaptations of Kiss the Girls and Alex Cross.

Mustafa began his career in Michael Bay’s The Island in 2005 and has amassed 50 credits since. With a healthy mix of movie and TV credits, most fans will remember Mustafa from Shadowhunters, playing Luke Garroway for 55 episodes from 2016 to 2019. Additional credits include It Chapter Two, Boy Kills World, Murder at Yellowstone City, Black-ish, Nikita, Grey’s Anatomy, and more.

Fresh off her recent turn as Kayla in the acclaimed Nicolas Cage movie Dream Scenario, fans can see Wigmore in everything from I Was a Sixth Grade Alien and Designated Survivor to Heartland and Y: The Last Man Standing.
