What Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco Have Shared About Wedding Planning

Luckily, there was only a romantic proposal—complete with her favorites from Taco Bell as a picnic—in this building. 

“I think you envision all the things that you would do and say when someone asks you, but it is actually the craziest feeling,” Selena added. “It was really special. He said the sweetest things, but I also was so shocked that it just felt unreal for a long time. I don’t know. I always dreamt of that moment, and he couldn’t have made it more perfect. It was one of the best days of my life for sure.”

And the ring gave a special nod to one of her hit songs.

“She’s a marquise,” the Rare Beauty mogul told Interview Magazine in February of her new bling. “Ever since the ‘Good for You’ days—that was, gosh, so many years ago—that’s the diamond I’ve always dreamed of.”

But if you’re wondering when Selena is going to start pickin’ out this dress and tryin’ on these shoes for the wedding, she and Benny have indicated they’re not rushing down the aisle.

“We’re both working on so many things that we haven’t even had time to get into it,” the Open Wide cookbook author explained on a July 9 episode of Jake Shane’s podcast Therapuss. “But we’re so excited. I think this summer we’re gonna sit down and be like, ‘OK, what are we doing?'”
