Wednesday creators Al Gough and Miles Millar are developing a new horror-fantasy series at Netflix. Their series, starring Jenna Ortega, has been a massive hit for the streamer. Wednesday season 1 remains at the top of Netflix’s most-watched English-language series of all time with 252.1 million views.
Per Deadline, Gough and Millar are now adapting an adult animated show based on Grim. It is based on the Grim series of horror-fantasy comics from Boom! Studios that are written by Stephane Phillips and with illustrations by Flaviano. Gough and Millar are executive producing the in-development project, as is Jennifer Yuh Nelson, who is the Supervising Director on Netflix’s Love, Death + Robots animated anthology series.
The comics follow Jessica Harrow, a new Reaper who is tasked with bringing souls in the afterlife. Jessica has no memory of the life she lived before becoming a Reaper, though, and searches for answers that reveal shocking truths about herself, the universe she inhabits, and her unique connection to Death.
