Watch moment Tino Livramento made Euro U21 final as Liverpool talent scores beauty

Tino Livramento has been back in Euro Under-21 action on Wednesday, taking on the Netherlands in today’s 5pm kick-off for a spot in Saturday night’s final.

So far, Tino has been one of the top-performing players in the tournament, having a hand in goals at one end, defending superbly at the other, picking up one man of the match award and showing his versatility by operating at left and right-back.

After knocking out the favourites Spain in the quarter finals last week, Tino’s Young Lions did it again in the semis, with a brilliant Harvey Elliott brace winning it for England.

This sets up a meeting with either Germany or France in Saturday’s final, which will be shown live on Channel 4 at 8pm.

It was a mixed first half for Tino. He did brilliantly on 20 minutes to cut in from the right, ghost past his man and thread a ball in behind for James McAtee, although lightning fast Dutch winger Ernest Poku did give him a few scares, being one of very few wide men to beat the Toon full-back for pace.

But, Tino gave as good as he got and the two sides went into the break at 0-0, with Ipswich’s Omari Hutchinson the standout England player in the first 45.

The first big action of the second half saw a huge chance fall Tino’s way, only for the Dutch to make a massive block before Harvey Elliot scored the opener on 62 minutes, smashing home after a latching onto Elliot Anderson’s through ball.

10 minutes later, the Netherlands drew level as Noah Ohio scored with his first touch to set up a tense end to the match, which was settled by one more moment of quality.

Elliot picked the ball up with plenty to do, wriggled past a few Dutch challenges and slotted past the goalkeeper and into the bottom corner in the 86th minute!

A brilliant win for the Young Lions, a solid display from Livramento and another game that reminded us what a shame it was to lose Anderson last summer, with the Geordie midfielder sensational on and off the ball.
