The United States Women’s National Team is going abroad. Today, U.S. Soccer announced the 24-player USWNT roster that will take on England on November 30th and the Netherlands on December 3rd.
Fifteen of the 22 members of the roster that won gold at the 2024 Olympics are on this roster, while some are getting a break due to either nagging injuries or the need for an extended rest. The Triple Espresso – Trinity Rodman, Sophia Smith and Mallory Swanson – are all omitted from the roster for that reason.
Dual national commit Lily Yohannes is on the roster for the first time since she committed to the USWNT program. She could line up against her current country on December 3rd when the USWNT takes on the Netherlands. Two uncapped players – goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce and forward Ally Sentnor – will make their senior national team camp debuts.
“In terms of our schedule, this is the end of a wonderful year, but we’re still at the beginning of our process of building towards qualifying for the next World Cup,” said Hayes in a statement. “So, this trip will be about testing ourselves against two world class teams with opportunities to develop our roster. We will continue to build relationships on and off the field and I’m really excited to work with this group as we continue to set the stage for 2025.”
