The United States Men’s National Team are back on home soil and host Jamaica in the second leg of the Concacaf Nations League quarterfinals tonight in St. Louis. The USMNT are coming off a 1-0 victory down at The Office on Thursday night, with a Ricardo Pepi goal being the difference.
The USMNT hope to fend off the Reggae Boyz to advance once again to the Nations League Finals, where they are the only team to have ever hoisted the trophy. Jamaica will be on an uphill climb to overcome the USMNT and advance, as several players – including Michail Antonio – did not make the trip after losing their passports. On the USMNT side, Aidan Morris and Johnny Cardoso were both sent home due to injuries, while Brendan Aaronson is 100% after being sick. Tim Weah also has served out the remainder of his suspension from Copa América and will likely feature tonight.
It’s an important second leg matchup tonight, and a capacity crowd at CITYPark is expected for the match. Time to get it done.
