Harlan Coben’s Lazarus

Harlan Coben’s Lazarus is one of the biggest new releases on Amazon Prime Video this month. The brand new mystery thriller series releases on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. All 6 episodes will be released at the same time, making it perfect for your mid-week streaming binge. Coben co-created the series with Daniel Brocklehurst, who collaborated with Coben on several previous projects, such as Netflix’s Safe.

Unlike many TV adaptations of Coben’s best-selling novels, which include series like Missing You, Fool Me Once, and Shelter, Lazarus is not based on an original novel. The series follows a forensic psychologist named Joel Lazarus, played by Sam Claflin, who experiences inexplicable experiences while investigating cold case murders. Bill Nighy co-stars as Dr. Jonatan Lazaraus, or simply Dr. L.

Allen Iv3rson

The 2025-26 NBA season officially kicks off this week, featuring the first-ever NBA games on Prime Video on Friday, October 24, 2025, between the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks, as well as the Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers. A new NBA-focused docuseries, Allen Iv3rson, also drops on October 23, 2025.

All three episodes of Allen Iv3rson drop at the same time on Prime Video this Thursday. Amazon describes the docuseries as an exploration of “the life of NBA legend Allen Iverson, who revolutionized the culture of basketball for future generations.” Iverson was an NBA Rookie of the Year, 11-time All-Star, and Most Valuable Player in 2001. All NBA fans will appreciate the remarkable story of one of the greatest point guards in the history of the game, especially during NBA Tip-Off week.

Maxton Hall – The World Between Us

Maxton Hall: The World Between Us is trending on Prime Video right now ahead of its season 2 premiere on November 7, 2025. Due to the massive success of season 1, which earned an 89% Rotten Tomatoes audience score, season 3 is already in development.

The official logline for the German teen romance series reads: “Quick-witted scholarship student Ruby unwittingly witnesses a secret at Maxton Hall. Arrogant millionaire heir James is determined to silence her, but their clash ignites an unexpected spark between them.” Although the series features an array of adolescent characters, the series is rated TV-MA and is suitable for all adult fans of the romance genre as well.

American Horror Story

While recent seasons have seen a decline in critical reception, American Horror Story is still the longest-running horror anthology series that is currently releasing new episodes. AHS will also return in 2026 with season 13. Prime Video is one of the only places you can stream all 12 current seasons if you’re looking for the ultimate horror binge-watch before Halloween.

The earlier seasons of AHS are the show’s biggest claims to fame, such as Asylum (season 2), Coven (season 3), Hotel (season 5), and, of course, the original, Murder House (season 1). The series has won 17 Emmys since it premiered back in 2011 – it even won the award for Costumes in 2024. AHS has featured plenty of notable actors, such as Lady Gaga, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Emma Roberts, and more. You really can’t go wrong with AHS in October.

The Twilight Zone

There’s arguably no better series on Prime Video that combines a cozy Fall vibe with some spooky season chills and thrills than the decades-old classic, The Twilight Zone. The series earned a collective 92% Rotten Tomatoes score across five seasons and more than 150 episodes, including multiple perfect 100% RT seasons.

There’s a case for The Twilight Zone being the most influential sci-fi series ever made, and it certainly is so in the 20th century. Host and creator Rod Serling created a masterful and timeless anthology series that was truly ahead of its time when it aired on broadcast TV between 1959 and 1964.

While some episodes of The Twilight Zone are scarier – and better – than others, one consistent aspect across all episodes of the series is its ability to introduce intriguing, heady concepts that make viewers think. This is the key factor that makes The Twilight Zone entertaining to this day, some 6+ decades after its release. Even if it’s only for a few episodes, watching The Twilight Zone is one of the best ways to make good use of your Prime Video subscription this week.
