While a handful of docuseries about Aaron Hernandez already exist, including the 2020 Netflix series Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez, American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez offers a retelling that raises more awareness about Hernandez’s history of concussions, which may be linked to his erratic and extremely violent behaviors.

The series explores all sorts of factors that lie beneath Aaron Hernandez’s larger-than-life public image, including alleged drug addiction, gay sexual repression, child abuse, and more.
