Those who love epic fantasy are in for a treat in 2026, as The Rings of Power’s production wrap sets up an exciting trinity of releases in the new year. The brand-new Game of Thrones spinoff, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, will be released on streaming as soon as January 2025, kicking off the new year with a brief (but still epic) new series for fans to sink their teeth into. House of the Dragon Season 3, which has shared a similar schedule to The Rings of Power throughout both shows’ three-season runs, is planned for Summer 2026.

The Rings of Power’s filming ended shortly after House of the Dragon’s, but the series has typically had a longer span of time in post-production, likely due to the heftier amounts of CGI. With that in mind, The Rings of Power Season 3 probably won’t be back until Fall, spreading the releases throughout the year for fantasy fans. HBO’s Harry Potter was originally planned for 2026 as well, but the series was pushed back for a 2027 release window.

Fantasy and speculative fiction fans can also look forward to titles like Blade Runner 2099, Neuromancer, One Piece, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and more, which are among the biggest TV releases planned for 2026.
