The Golden Raspberry Awards, or The Razzies, have often been a divisive part of Hollywood’s glorious back-patting season, but the reveal of this year’s nominees seems to have avoided much controversy by naming many of the movies that you would expect to see on their list for the 46th awards ceremony, which will be held just before the Oscars on Mar. 14, 2026.
In a two-horse race that no one wants to win, Disney and Amazon MGM Studios will be fighting it out with two of their most panned movies of 2025 receiving top billing with six nods each. From the Disney stable is Snow White, the live-action reimagining of the first full-length animated feature film that brought with it controversies over dwarfs, politics, “wokeness”, and a general feeling of “why do they keep making these movies?” In Amazon’s lane is War of the Worlds, the Ice Cube-starring remake of H.G. Well’s classic tale of alien invasion, which many humorously called “a feature-length advertisement for Amazon products.”
These two juggernauts of rotten reviews and general distain have pulled in nominations in the Worst Picture and Worst Remake/Rip-Off/Sequel categories, but while Ice Cube lands the Worst Actor nod, surprisingly for the Razzies, they have not included either Rachel Zegler or Gal Gadot in their actress categories – a rare moment of restraint for the awards show that created a special category for Bruce Willis amidst the early stages of his aphasia diagnosis, and nominated 12-year-old Ryan Kiera Armstong as Worst Actress for her role in the remake of Stephen King’s Firestarter. However, the seven “artifical” dwarfs of Snow White do receive their own nods.
Other movies hoping to finish last and not win an award are both Dave Bautista and Milla Jovovich for George R.R. Martin’s In the Lost Lands, Jared Leto, who is unsurprisingly, among the contenders, this time for Tron: Ares, and the Russo brothers’ panned Netflix movie, The Electric State.
