The Devil is back in Prada for a second time as the new trailer shows Miranda Priestly’s return has finally arrived. Following the all-too-short teaser released in November 2025, fans have now been given a look at many of the returning cast members of The Devil Wears Prada, 20 years after the hit movie premiered.
Things have obviously changed in the last two decades, but it looks like The Devil Wears Prada 2 is about to make you forget it has been that long since Miranda Priestley, once again played deliciously by Meryl Streep, and Andrea Sachs, fellow returnee Anne Hathaway, shared screen time together.
The teaser already had fans declaring that they were “checking their wardrobe” and ‘more than ready for this, so you can guarantee that the full trailer has cranked up those anticipation levels even more. You can check out the trailer yourself below.
What Is ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ About?
20 years on from the events of the first movie, Miranda Priestly is having to manage newfound friction with Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), who has risen through the fashion magazine ranks since her time spent as Miranda’s assistant. Now, she is a rival executive in the continuing decline of print media.
As well as the fierce threesome of Streep, Hathaway and Blunt, other returnees to the world of fashion rivalry are Stanley Tucci as fashion mogul and Miranda’s confidant, Nigel. Tracie Thoms is back as Andrea’s friend, Lily, while Tibor Feldman returns as Elias-Clark president Irv Ravitz. New additions to the cast this time around include Kenneth Branagh, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Lady Gaga, B.J. Novak, Rachel Bloom, Pauline Chalamet, and Simone Ashley. Patrick Brammel will also be joining as Andy’s new love interest, as Adrian Grenier is not returning as Nate for the sequel.
The Devil Wears Prada was one of the most successful movies of 2006, making $326 million at the box office during its theatrical run. The sequel will be released on May 1, 2026, just two weeks ahead of another Anne Hathaway movie, Verity, which gives the actress her own personal box office battle. Whether the Devil can work some magic in a much more unpredictable box office landscape is something that we will find out heading into the early summer run of movies that also includes Andy Serkis’ Animal Farm, Mortal Kombat II, and The Mandalorian & Grogu.
