Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed…
There has been some big claims in the media which have claimed that Real Madrid have made ARSENAL star William Saliba the clubs number one transfer target.
The Frenchman has established himself as a key player and regular under manager Mikel Arteta over the last two campaigns, playing a crucial role in their last two campaigns as they finished second behind Manchester City in the Premier League table.
He is one of the big reasons why Arsenal have been so defensively good over the past few seasons, and his partnership with Gabriel is arguably one of the very best in the Premier League and maybe even the Champions League.
There was some speculation that both Real Madrid and PSG were keen on trying to sign the Frenchman in the summer window, but Arsenal do not want him to leave, and the player himself has no desire to depart the Emirates right now.
His commanding performances at the back have made him one of the most sought-after young defenders in Europe and as Real looks to bolster their squad for the future, Saliba appears to be at the top of their wish list, according to reports from Fichajes
Amid all the speculation Antonio Rudiger has suggested he wants his current club to raid Arsenal and try to sign William Saliba: “To have Saliba would be great and if he continues to do what he does…” the former Chelsea star said on The Inside Scoop.
“I don’t scare nobody (Arsenal fans) but at the end of the day, it is clear, if he does what he does…”

We are sure that Madrid will try and tempt ARSENAL into selling Saliba one day and the defender may even be interested in making that move to La Liga – but for now – he is happy and is not leaving the club.
But if Madrid are looking for a long-term replacement for Rudiger – there is not many better out there that Saliba that is for sure.
KROENKE MAKES PROMISE –
Josh Kroenke has made a promise to ARSENAL fans after Edu shocked the club and decided to leave the Gunners and agreed a deal in principle to take up a role with Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis.
Edu joined Arsenal as technical director in July 2019 before becoming the club’s first-ever sporting director in November 2022, and The 46-year-old shares a strong bond with Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, with whom he has rebuilt Arsenal into title contenders with some quality signings over the past few seasons that has really moved Arsenal ahead of Liverpool and Man United.
He has been responsible for the signings of Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice, while he helped offload the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mesut Ozil, but after a taking some personal time, he has now decided to leave the club.
Precise details of the role with Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis are to be confirmed and a formal deal is still to be finalised, but Arsenal confirmed the news – understood to be entirely Edu’s decision – on Monday evening.
And after seeing the former Gunner leave, Kroenke has made a promise to Arsenal fans by admitting that the ambitions of the club will not change: “We respect Edu’s decision and thank him for his immense contribution and dedication to drive the club forward,” Kroenke said.
“Change and evolution are part of our club’s DNA. We remain focused on our strategy and on winning major trophies. Our succession plan will reflect this continued ambition.”
In his farewell statement, Edu said: “This was an incredibly hard decision to make. Arsenal has given me the opportunity to work with so many amazing people and the chance to be a part of something so special in the club’s history. It has been a special journey and I thank Stan, Josh, Tim and Lord Harris for the support they’ve given me.
“I’ve loved working with so many great colleagues across our men’s, women’s and academy teams, especially Mikel, who has become a great friend.
‘Now it is time to pursue a different challenge. ARSENAL will always remain in my heart. I wish the club and its supporters only good things and all the very best.”
ARSENAL READY TO SELL JESUS?
Newcastle have set their sights on Gabriel Jesus to replace ARSENAL target Alexander Isak, if the big Swedish star decides to leave the club in the next couple of transfer windows, as he continues to struggle with opening contract talks.
Jesus has been at the Emirates for quite a few seasons now and is a player that Mikel Arteta is really loyal too having worked with the Brazilian star during his time with Man City.
However – the Brazilian has really struggled to keep fit during his time at the Emirates and has found himself watching alot of the games from the bench while he waits to get fully fit once more.
He is fit and has featured a few times this season – but he has struggled to get a regular starting spot simply because of the form of Kai Havertz – who has been in brilliant form this season and is the man that is currently top to lead that Gunners attack.
What is the latest on Isak?
Isak is a player that has been tipped to leave Newcastle for the last couple of transfer windows, and with all the speculation surrounding his new contract and the fact he wants to play Champions League football, many believe he could leave in January or at the end of the season.
And Newcastle have set their sights on Gabriel Jesus to replace Alexander Isak a report in Team Talk says.
The Magpies are starting to look around for possible replacements for the big striker and are ready to splash some of that cash they may get from Isak on Jesus.

ARSENAL have so many brilliant players – they have so many world class stars – but that 20-30 goals a season striker is something that Arsenal have been lacking and that is why they should cash in on Jesus and replace him.
Isak was brilliant for Newcastle last season, he was one of the clubs best players, but Jesus would not be the answer to the issues in replacing Isak that is for sure.
