Prime Video’s biggest streaming of the year so far, The Wrecking Crew, is looking to get a sequel. Starring Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa, the buddy-cop action comedy has taken audiences by storm after its late January release. Now, fans of the film should expect a sequel to come to fruition sooner rather than later.
In an interview with Variety, director Ángel Manuel Soto talked about the possibility of a follow-up to his hit action comedy The Wrecking Crew. He confirmed that the creative team, including screenwriter Jonathan Tropper, are already dreaming up ideas for a sequel. In fact, the film was designed to do so, leaving “open-ended moments” for another installment to answer.
“We left a lot of open-ended moments on purpose so we can solve them with a sequel. Everyone wants to make it happen.”
More to come.
