Liverpool wants Aston Villa attacker Morgan Rogers to strengthen their squad, but the Champions League qualifications play a critical role. Villa are seventh in the Premier League table with 57 points after playing 34 games, recently losing to Manchester City.
The loss to Man City ended a five-game winning streak in the Premier League for the Villans that rejuvenated them. However, Villa also lost the FA Cup semifinal match to Crystal Palace in the last game, which ruined their momentum.
They are three points behind both Chelsea and Nottingham Forest in fifth and sixth position, respectively, occupying the qualification spaces. While the fifth position provides a Champions League qualification, the sixth place delivers the qualification to the Europa League competition.
