Osula starts & Botman out in 6 changes – Confirmed Newcastle & Aston Villa team news

The team sheets are in at Villa Park, where Newcastle United take on Aston Villa in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Eddie Howe’s Newcastle arrive on the back of a 2-1 win at Spurs on Tuesday, while Unai Emery’s Villa beat Brighton 1-0 the following night.

Here are how the two sides line up for tonight’s 5.45pm kick-off.

Newcastle XI: Ramsdale – Trippier, Thiaw, Burn, Hall – Tonali, Ramsey – Murphy, Woltemade, Barnes –  Osula

Substitutes: Pope, Ruddy, A Murphy, Shahar, Willock, Gordon, Elanga, Seung-soo Park, Neave

Aston Villa XI: Bizot – Bogarde, Lindelof, Torres, Digne – Onana, Luiz – Bailey, Barkley, Rogers – Abraham.

Eddie Howe has made SIX changes from our midweek win, as Ramsdale, Hall, Tonali, Murphy, Woltemade and Osula replace Pope, Botman, Bruno, Willock, Elanga and Gordon.

It looks like we’ve gone for a 4-2-3-1 system, with Woltemade just behind Osula, Barnes and Murphy out wide and Ramsey partnering Tonali at the base of our midfield.

Botman is given a rest, Wissa has a knock and Bruno is sidelined, with reports last night confirming that the Brazilian is due to miss anywhere between six and 10 weeks following a hamstring injury.

Lewis Miley and Joelinton also miss out once again, as do Tino Livramento, Fabian Schar and Emil Krafth, but it’s interesting to see South Korean talent Seung-soo Park in the squad.

Villa are without Matty Cash, Youri Tielemans, John McGinn and Boubacar Kamara, while Emi Martinez is on the bench.

Howay the lads!
