Grammys 2026: Jennifer Hudson Reveals the Inspiration Behind Her Show’s Spirit Tunnel
There’s a new member of the Pink Pony Club.
Indeed, a year after Chappell Roan won the award for Best New Artist, she passed the title on to Olivia Dean at the 2026 Grammys, hosted by Trevor Noah at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles Feb. 1. (See all the winners here.)
“I never really imagined that I would be up here, let alone nominated,” she said during her acceptance speech. “So, thank you so much.”
The “Man I Need” singer—who performed alongside fellow Best New Artist nominees KATSEYE, The Marías, Addison Rae, sombr, Leon Thomas, Alex Warren and Lola Young right before the category was announced—also thanked her family, adding, “I want to say I’m up here as a granddaughter of an immigrant. I’m a product of bravery, and I think those people deserve to be celebrated.”
“We’re nothing without each other,” the 26-year-old concluded. “Thank you so much. I love you. Thank you so much fun.”
Ahead of this year’s ceremony, many of the nominees detailed their disbelief in being nominated for their first Grammy.
“It’s literally just the biggest, biggest honor,” KATSEYE member Lara Raj told People in a Jan. 5 interview. “I don’t think any of us were expecting it. It really took us by surprise.”
