Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews featuring the likes of Christopher Nkunku, Raheem Sterling and Rodrygo that we think you may have missed today…
CHELSEA have named their asking price for Raheem Sterling and the former Arsenal star reportedly has a preference over which club to sign for as the Blues look to offload the winger this summer.
Chelsea have been very busy this transfer window, they have spent over £200 million on bringing in new players to improve many areas of the squad and now look like a side that can challenge for that Premier League title next season.
However – the Blues also need to get a number of players off the books over the next few months, and Sterling is a player that Chelsea are reportedly very interested in letting go, according to The Sun
They report that Chelsea are open to selling the 82-cap England international for £20m, less than half what they paid Manchester City for him three years ago. But progress on an exit has been slow, with no talks held between the club and the player, with his whopping £325,000-a-week wages set to be a problem.

Sterling needs to take a pay-cut if he wants to keep playing in the Premier League or even at the highest level of the game, that £325k-a-week is alot of money to pay and he has not been worth the money since his move from Man City.
There are a few clubs interested, so Sterling will probably get a move away, but if Chelsea cant get him gone one a permanent basis, then they may have to send him out on loan once again just like they did with Arsenal last seasons.
The problem with that is that CHELSEA would also have to pay some of his high wages, so a permanent move away from the club is best for all involved.
RODRYGO CHANCE
It has been claimed in the media once again that Real Madrid will be open to letting long-term CHELSEA and Arsenal transfer target Rodrygo leave this summer, if they receive the right offer.
Rodrygo scored 13 goals and provided over 10 assists in over 50 appearances last season, but Tension has been building between the Brazilian and Real with the winger unhappy with his role in the team with his relationship with his teammates deteriorating significantly.

The former Santos starlet, who joined Real for €45million in 2018, is ‘angry’ with his diminished role and it has been claimed that he would be open to leaving the Spaniards over the next few months, with reports suggesting that he believes he has played his last game for Real.
Now, according to Fabrizio Romano Madrid could be willing to part ways with the Brazilian forward if a substantial offer arrives. The ultimate decision, however, will rest with both Rodrygo and new head coach Xabi Alonso.
However, It was claimed Real will be demanding a fee of €100million (£87m) for the player, and he will also look for wages around the £300k-a-week mark.
Whether he departs may be down to a decision made by the player himself, with Arsenal and Liverpool also among those linked.

Rodrygo has been world class for a few seasons, he is playing at Real and scoring the goals that big time players should be scoring, but his time at the club is probably coming to the end as the Spaniards look to keep on improving the side.
However – Arsenal and CHELSEA do not really need to splash the cash and add another winger to that attack, they already have a number of players that can do the job that Rodrygo does and we are sure that a move to the London clubs will not happen.
If he does leave Madrid, it could be for a move to Saudi Arabia or PSG, that would suit his style of football.
NKUNKU DROPS HINT
French International Christopher Nkunku has dropped a massive hint that he wants to stay at Chelsea this summer, despite the many reports in the media that he is one player that the Board are open to letting leave this window.
After a very busy of weeks bringing players to the club, CHELSEA are ready to let a number of players leave, with Nkunku on that list with many reports suggesting in the media that he was very open to leaving the club after all the signings that have been made.
The Blues paid £52million to sign the France striker from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023 and would like to recoup as much of that as possible should they sell this summer. Manchester United and Bayern Munich have been linked with a move for the 27-year-old but it could be that Nkunku decides to stay in west London and fight for his place.
Nkunku played a big part in the club winning the club world cup this month and he celebrations alongside his Chelsea teammates, and if his social media is anything to go by, he’s still on the crest of a wave.
Posting on his official X account, Nkunku offered a little hint that his future may well be in west London. he posted a photo of himself holding the Club World Cup trophy with the words: “Still in the mood.”
That is clearly a note that he remains happy with that Club World Cup triumph, and could suggest that he wants to stay and fight for his place in the side.
IcFootballnews Says…
Nkunku had a decent season last year for CHELSEA, he socred quite a few goals and put in some impressive performances in Europe and cup competitions, he is just not the player that Enzo Maresca wants in that attack.
All those attackers that Chelsea now have, would there be a point in staying at the club knowing he may not be a regular starter? This is a tricky one for the Frenchman that is for sure.
