Newcastle United want Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah next summer amid the Merseyside club’s interest in their star forward Alexander Isak. The Magpies have worked under a transfer restriction due to the Profitability and Sustainability Rules’ limitations for three transfer windows.
Similarly, the Reds have also operated under a restricted budget but only as their choice amid changes in the staff. New head coach Arne Slot succeeded the former legendary manager Jurgen Klopp during the summer of 2024 at Liverpool.

According to the Times, Newcastle target Quansah to bolster their defence while Liverpool pursue Isak. The Magpies believe that a £30 million bid plus add-ons is enough to lure Quansah away from the Reds.
Rest assured, Newcastle will not dictate the price tag of a Liverpool player, particularly when they put inflated price tags for their players. Quansah is an important part of the Reds squad despite his struggles under Slot this season.
The 22-year-old recently bounced back from his early season disappointments and Anfield regards him highly. However, the Englishman’s compunction for making errors and the gap between his potential and current abilities could force a sale.
