Netflix originals don’t often get at-home releases, but the streamer’s best animated show will be available to purchase on Blu-ray and in 4K — and Arcane season 2 is officially up for pre-order. Based on League of Legends, Arcane has become one of Netflix’s greatest original series since its debut in 2021.
This is even more notable given that the animated series only has two seasons (though Arcane could easily have gone on for longer). And the Netflix show’s first outing got a limited-edition Blu-ray and 4K Steelbook release around a month before its second season premiered. Now, Arcane season 2 is following suit.
The show’s sophomore season will be available on Blu-ray and as a limited-edition Steelbook beginning on October 21, 2025. Arcane fans don’t need to wait and risk missing out, though. Both versions of Arcane season 2 are now available to pre-order on GKIDS and Amazon. A 4K UHD collector’s edition is also up for grabs on GKIDs.
What’s Included In Arcane Season 2’s At-Home Releases
Buyers Will Receive Bonus Content & Other Benefits
The limited-edition Steelbook of Arcane season 2 makes a nice addition to any media collection, especially for hardcore fans of the Netflix series. The designs alone are enough reason to want these on your shelves. The Steelbook comes in two different options: one featuring Cait and Vi and another featuring Jinx and Ekko.
Amazon has the Steelbook listed at $59.98, though GKIDS has the Jinx and Ekko one on sale for $45.99 and the Vi and Cait one for $42.99. Both contain three discs, covering all nine episodes of season 2, and over three hours of bonus content. According to IGN, that bonus content will include:
- Multiple featurettes, such as “Inside The Writer’s Room”
- Artist Breakdowns – Featuring 14 Artists From Fortiche
- Music videos for Arcane season 2’s best songs, including “Ma Meilleure Ennemie”
- Storyboards & Animatics
- Art Gallery
Meanwhile, the 4K UHD collector’s edition is currently on sale at $150 on GKIDS. In addition to the same bonus features, the website notes that it will contain the following perks:
- Exclusive Original Artwork
- 7 “Anomaly” Resin Dice with Plastic Orbs and Gold Flakes
- Velvet Dice Pouch
- “Acceleration Rune” Temporary Tattoo (2)
- “Hexgates” Poster
- Viktor’s Gear Enamel Pin
- Gold-Stamped Machine Herald Art Card
- Shimmering Jayce & Viktor Art Card
- Powder & Ekko Lenticular Art Card
- “Ekko’s Notebook” Episode Guide
Why Arcane Is Getting An At-Home Release
It’s Likely Due To Riot Games’ Involvement
It’s exciting that Arcane will be available on Blu-ray and in 4K, as most Netflix shows don’t get this treatment. The reason Arcane is receiving an at-home release is likely because it’s produced by Riot Games and Fortiche Productions but distributed by Netflix. This difference ensures that viewers can add it to their physical collections.
Of course, Netflix has done limited-edition releases of other hits, like Stranger Things. Perhaps if the streamer sees success when it comes to sales, it will consider more of them. Whatever happens, Arcane fans won’t want to miss the opportunity to snatch physical copies of the series. It’s so good, you have to watch it again eventually.
