Despite reports to the contrary, Netflix is indeed exploring avenues to acquire one of the most iconic movie studios of all time. After having a record year at the box office, Warner Bros. is looking to sell high while the iron is hot, and the ever-expanding streamer has it in its sights.
According to Reuters, Netflix has hired investment bank Moelis & Co. to create an offer to bid for Warner Bros., competing directly against Paramount, who appears to be the favorite to nab the company. Although the streaming company previously claimed it was not interested in purchasing WB, it seems things have quickly changed behind the scenes.
