Martinez and Hato feature in Chelsea news now

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed…

Dutch International Jorrel Hato has admitted that he is very excited to play for Chelsea, after the Blues FINALLY agreed to bring the Ajax star to the Premier League is a deal that is worth just £19 million.

Since CHELSEA brought Enzo Maresca in as coach of the club, alot of things have changed the dynamics of the Premier League and the Blues are now one of the favourites to challenge for that Premier League title next season

Maresca has brought a belief back to the club that has now won two trophies in the last few months, and has also managed to build a squad that is one of the most enjoyable to watch in the English top-flight.

Chelsea have multiple central defensive options already but the decision was made to make a move for Hato, who is one of the most high-rated young defenders in Europe and a player that most clubs were very interested in signing.

The 19-year-old defender has penned a long-term contract at Stamford Bridge through to 2032 and revealed that he is happy to have joined the club: ‘I’m very excited, I’m so happy to be here,’ said Hato.

‘I thought a lot about my future and wanted to take the next step in my career. Chelsea is the best place for me to do that so I’m very happy.’

IcFootballnews Says…

Joining CHELSEA is a massive opportunity for the lad, when the Blues come calling, it is very hard to turn them down. The only problem that we have is that the lad isnt ready for a move to the Blues, he is not ready for the Premier League.

If he does not make an immediate impact, he could find himself shipped out on loan, forgotten about and then sold on in a few seasons. We have seen it before from Chelsea and we are sure that we will see it again.

CHELSEA TOLD SIGN MARTINEZ

Former CHELSEA star Emmanuel Petit has urged his old club to sign Manchester United transfer target Emiliano Martinez this summer, amid reports that the big Argentine is a player the Villians may have to sell.

Unai Emery’s side missed out on qualifying for the elite European competition after their final defeat against Manchester United consigned them to Europa League football next season. Villa had an impressive run in the tournament last season, beating the likes of Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig before they were knocked out by eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain in a dramatic quarter-final.

However – Villa were hit with an unconditional €11million fine for a breach of the organisation’s financial regulations, including €5m for failing to comply with the football earnings rules plus €6m for breaching the squad costs rules, and may need to sell some top players.

Man United have been linked with a move for Martinez, but petit has opened up and claimed that CHELSEA could make a move for the World Cup winner: ‘Emiliano Martinez would be an inspiration in the Chelsea dressing room,’ Petit told EscapistMagazine.com ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

‘I have criticised his behaviour in the past but he knows what it takes to win titles, he has that experience. He can inspire other players and he has all the qualities needed of a top goalkeeper.

‘He would be a very good signing for Chelsea and 32 isn’t old for a goalkeeper.

‘I think he’d link well with Enzo Maresca and the players already at the club.

‘One fear I have is for Aston Villa, I am worried about them with top players leaving the club, I’m not sure where it will leave them next season.’

Arsenal made a mistake allowing Martinez to leave the club back in 2020, he really has become one of the best stoppers in world football. But we would be shocked to see him leave Villa this summer, even if they get an offer that they are simple unable to refuse.

He is more than happy at the club and to leave would take a massive offer for the man, especially as Chelsea and Villa are pretty much vying for the same positions in the Premier League.

CHELSEA do need a stopper, but again, we would be massive surprised to see Martinez make the move to Stamford Bridge, especially because the board like to sign players that they can offer 10 year contracts too.

He would be a great signing for Chelsea, but we cannot see this one happening

HATO JOINS BIGGEST CLUB

Jorrel Hato has made a controversial claim by revealing that he has now joined the biggest club, after it was revealed just a few days ago that he has signed for Premier League giants Chelsea.

Hato has been at the club for a few days now, but after signing for Chelsea – he has come out and claimed that it was an easy decision to make the move to the biggest club: ‘For sure it was a big decision,’ Hato said about his move to Chelsea.

‘I played seven years at Ajax and for me it was home – the people, the players, the coaches, the culture.

‘So it was not easy to leave, but my feeling was that at this moment I needed to make a step to the biggest club in the biggest competitions.

‘For me this was the right decision at the right time.’

‘It feels strange to leave everybody in Holland, of course, but for me it’s a new journey with new people in a new culture, a new team, new competitions,’ Hato added.

‘I was really thinking about my future and this is what I wanted. I think I will be a good fit for the way CHELSEA are playing, so I was sure about taking my step to Chelsea.’

‘This was for me the right time to make a big step, to come to the Premier League, to come to Chelsea. And now I’m here!’
