Manchester United are reportedly exploring options to replace goalkeeper Andre Onana, with the Cameroonian international now offered a way out of Old Trafford as speculation mounts over a summer switch.
The former Ajax and Inter Milan goalkeeper has struggled at Old Trafford since joining the club under former manager Erik ten Hag.
The goalkeeper was brought in due to his ball playing ability mostly because United were looking to change their playing style.

However, his transfer has been a big failure and the Red Devils are now looking for his replacement in the market.
In a recent interview, the United goalkeeper said:
“Will I leave? I don’t know, we’ll see!”
AS Monaco are exploring options to strengthen their goalkeeping department ahead of the 2025/26 season, and United’s Onana has emerged as a key target, according to a report from L’Equipe.
The Ligue 1 side are aiming to upgrade their current options of goalkeepers, which includes Radoslaw Majecki and Philipp Kohn, neither of whom have fully convinced as long-term solutions.
Monaco believe that bringing in a high-calibre, experienced shot-stopper like Onana could provide the stability and presence they currently lack between the posts.
With United reportedly open to offers for the Cameroon international, Monaco see a potential opportunity to secure a goalkeeper who is experienced at the top level.
AS Monaco have other targets in mind as well
Manchester United legend Andy Cole called him the club’s MVP last year:
“He’s producing a hell of a lot of saves… because United continue to give the ball away… the goalkeeper has been their MVP… He has unbelievable feet too.”
However, the 29-year-old isn’t the only name Monaco are monitoring. The club has also shown interest in Djordje Petrovic, currently at Chelsea.
Another ambitious name reportedly on Monaco’s radar is Marc-Andre ter Stegen of Barcelona, who could be available this summer.
As for United, they are interested in a move for Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
