Signing a striker is considered a priority for Liverpool this summer as they look to add firepower to their attack.
The Reds have already completed the signings of Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez to add depth to their defense and their creative department.
Following the disappointing performances of Darwin Nunez, which have put him closer to an exit from the club this summer, a new striker is being targeted by Arne Slot and his recruitment team.
Nunez has been linked with a move to Napoli this summer with talks taking place between the Premier League and Serie A champions over a move.
Liverpool have three strikers on their radar this summer
According to Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg, the Premier League champions have three names for a new striker on their radar: Hugo Ekitike, Alexander Isak, and Victor Osimhen.
Liverpool have conducted extensive scouting and background checks on several striker targets ahead of a potential summer move, with Ekitike emerging as one of the leading names under consideration by the Anfield hierarchy.
The French striker is particularly admired for his ability to play across the front line, offering tactical flexibility in Slot’s system.
Ekitike is aware of growing interest from Liverpool this summer. The attacker knows that for the Reds to sign him, they would first have to offload some of their players first to balance the finances.
Along with Ekitike, Isak is part of the Liverpool shortlist but he may be the most expensive options they have on their radar.
Newcastle United would need a Premier League record transfer fee to let the attacker leave the club. Although he is still not out of Liverpool’s range at the moment but the Magpies have no intention of selling him and he is tied to a long term contract at St. James’ Park.
Victor Osimhen seems like the convenient option

Osimhen, who was on fire for Galatasaray last season while being on loan, is set to be sold by Napoli this summer. He scored scored 37 goals in all competitions last term.
The reason why his transfer to the Merseyside club could be easier to work out is because the Italian side want to sign Nunez from the Premier League side and both the clubs could come to an agreement for a swap deal.
A new striker is highly likely to arrive at Anfield this summer but it remains to be seen who that attacker will be.
