LET’S LAYER: 5 TIPS TO STAY WARM AND CHIC

So, it is cold. Like really cold. While I love summer weather, I much prefer dressing for fall and winter. Why? I love the opportunity to layer! Layering allows you to add color, texture, and volume to any look. Staying warm and chic at the same time! Below I am breaking down five unique ways that I love to layer.

1. ADD A TURTLENECK

When temps drop, I will add a turtleneck to just about any of my looks. Turtlenecks look great doubled under bulkier sweaters as well as under button down shirts. When layering, I usually opt for a mid weight turtleneck, like this one. Sometimes I will double it up and layer a turtleneck like this one under a more bulky one like this!

I am all about the double coat. Sometimes it is truly layering one winter coat over another while other times it is about a less thick, sleek blazer under an over coat. Bonus points if you belt the blazer or add a turtleneck! I am loving this belt, this belt, and this thicker belt. If luxury is more your thing, well then this belt and this one are SO good.

Patterned socks, thigh highs, and colored tights! Adding some comfy layers while also adding a pop of color or a fun print? Everyone wins! For example, these socks would add a punch to a great denim look. PS this is where I buy a lot of my colored tights.

4. SCARF BUT MAKE IT TRENDY

Right now I am loving the knit triangle scarf – aka the knit bandana. I bought one from Boden that you can see here, but it is sadly it is now sold out! However, this one is in stock and I just picked up the brown option as well as this one that I love! Dare I say this will be the blanket scarf of 2026? If you are more of an oversized scarf gal this one is my personal fave.

5. INVISIBLE LAYERS

Okay, what about the invisible layers? Let me explain. A good example is wearing fleece lined leggings under satin pants to keep warm and stay stylish. Or, layering these incredible cashmere blend long sleeve shirts under anything long sleeve. A few other favorites include these leggings and this henley that I am obsessed with.
