North West Gifts Mom Kim Kardashian an Unusual Diamond Necklace for Her 44th Birthday
Kim Kardashian is not keeping pricey heirlooms to herself.
In fact, the reality star has plans to pass down the 15-carat diamond engagement ring ex-husband Kanye West proposed with back in 2013 to their oldest daughter North West, now 11.
“Because she was with me when I got engaged,” Kim who gave birth to her daughter four months before Kanye’s proposal, explained on the March 13 episode of The Kardashians. “She held it after and I took a photo.”
Kim also noted that the ring was the “only piece of jewelry” she didn’t have with her when she was robbed at a Paris hotel in 2016. And the reason why she did not bring the ring on that fateful trip was also because of Ye, who she was married to from 2014 to 2022.
Recounting how she once wore the gem along with her second engagement ring from Kanye—a 20-carat emerald-cut worth an estimated $4.9 million—in an Instagram video, Kim said the rapper warned her, “‘Don’t you ever wear both of your rings at the same time. Are you looking to get robbed?'”
The 44-year-old’s second ring was ultimately stolen during the gunpoint heist, with authorities believing that the diamond was broken down into smaller pieces and sold off on the black market.
