In another universe, Keanu Reeves is probably John Wick and would never have allowed the criminals who stole $125,000 worth of watches from his home in 2023 to get away with the heist unscathed. Instead, the nicest man in Hollywood has had to wait two years to hear that his lost timepieces have been recovered and will be heading back to him very soon. As Bill S. Preston Esq. might say, “Excellent!”
The actor’s luxury watch collection was stolen from the actor’s Hollywood Hills home in December 2023. The robbery was one of several in the area which were reported at the time as a large wave of crime in the celebrity-heavy location. The watches, which included a $9,000 Rolex, were recently found as part of a much larger collection of stolen goods during police raids in Santiago. The watches were initially recovered by the Chilean authorities, and after being verified as belonging to Reeves, were handed over to the FBI to be returned to the Bill & Ted star.

After years of uncertainty, ‘John Wick 5’ is finally moving in the right direction.
The recovery of the watches will no doubt be a great relief for Reeves, who probably thought that he would never see them again. The $9,000 Rolex in particular was special to the actor – and possibly an item that would have proved impossible for the thieves to have sold on – as it was one of five Rolex Submariner watches that the actor had engraved to commemorate wrapping on John Wick 4. The other four watches were given to stunt performers who worked on the movie by the actor as one of his well-documented generous tokens of appreciation.
Keanu Reeves Is Heading Back to Cinemas With a Number of Projects
After playing the assassin John Wick in several movies, including this year’s Ana de Armas-led spinoff Ballerina, it is perhaps not surprising that his next run of films does not have anything to do with The High Table, dog-vengeance, or assassins. While there is talk of John Wick 5 coming in the future, for now, Reeves seems to be gravitating back to comedy with a number of upcoming releases.
A new trailer recently revealed a first look at Reeves’ appearance as an inept angel in Aziz Ansari’s comedy Good Fortune. Starring with Seth Rogen, Reeves is in fine comedy form in the first footage for the movie, which sees him being sent to Earth to teach a lesson to Ansari’s character Arj after he switches bodies with his boss, Jeff (Rogen).
Other projects on the horizon include recouplings with some of his former leading ladies. He will star alongside his Speed and The Lake House costar Sandra Bullock in an as-yet-untitled Amazon MGM Studios romantic thriller, and will share screentime with Cameron Diaz for the first time since 1996’s Feeling Minnesota, in the Jonah Hill-directed dark comedy, Outcome.
As well as all of this, the actor has recently found a new voice role as Shadow in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise and is still potentially set to return as John Constantine in a sequel to his cult classic DC movie about the demonologist, making his upcoming slate look very full indeed.
