Jason Momoa had a proud Dad moment at the premiere of his new Apple TV+ series, which has been compared to Game of Thrones, as he took the opportunity to rave about his son, Nakoa-Wolf Momoa, being cast in a key role in Dune: Part Three. Momoa’s offspring will make his film debut in the third installment of Denis Villeneuve‘s epic space opera trilogy alongside his father, who is reprising his role as swordsmaster Duncan Idaho despite the character’s heroic sacrifice in the first film adaptation of Frank Herbert’s seminal sci-fi novel.
News broke in June that Nakoa-Wolf had joined the cast of Dune: Part Three, having signed on for a significant role alongside Ida Brooke. The two stars will be playing Leto II and Ghanima, the twin offspring of Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) and Chani (Zendaya), heirs to the Atreides empire. The teenage son of Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet is in for a “rude awakening,” according to his father, who has starred in several notable roles, including Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe films and Khal Drogo in HBO’s Game of Thrones.
