There is no doubt that moves will be made for Isak this January and at the end of the current season, he is a player that is ready for that next step in his career, he is ready to play for a big club like ARSENAL

But can we see Arsenal paying £100-£150 million on the Swedish star? No we cannot, but we can see the likes of PSG coming in with that kind of offer.

The Gunners should have signed the big striker in the summer window, they would be closer to beating Liverpool for that Premier League title if they had the Toon star that is for sure.

SESKO MAKES ARSENAL DECISION

Fresh reports have now claimed Benjamin Sesko’s ‘willingness’ to join ARSENAL – with the reports suggesting that the in-demand RB Leipzig striker has already said yes to a transfer move to the Emirates and rejected a move to Chelsea.

The likes of Arsenal and Chelsea have long been credited with an interest in Sesko, who has scored 30 goals in 66 games for RB Leizpig, and there was talk that moves were made in the last summer window.

However – despite all the speculation and all the rumours, Sesko snubbed a move to the Premier League and made the decision to stay put at RB, Where he is continuing his development into a top striker.

But Arsenal appear to have the edge when it comes to striker and talkSPORT claim he has already picked ARSENAL ahead of Chelsea and Manchester United.

Barcelona are also said to be interested in Sesko, although their financial restrictions will be a hurdle.

Amid all the speculation and rumours, former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says he is ‘happy’ to have Benjamin Sesko at RB Leipzig and believes the young striker has great potential, he recently said: ‘I was pretty impressed, he played a good game. He’s a good player anyway.

‘I’ve actually known him for a while, I knew him already when he was at Salzburg. I think we played a friendly game here when he was very, very young.

‘I was really impressed, I thought, “Where do they get all these players?, ridiculous.’

‘I have no plans with him, just to make that clear. Don’t get it wrong, I will not show up in training and tell them what to do,’ Klopp added

‘Our plan, and I don’t have to ask Marco Rose what his plan is with him [Sesko], I know it… he wants to help him score as many goals as possible.

‘He has space for improvement, space for development, incredible skillset, incredible potential so I’m happy that we have him.’

ARSENAL MAKE DURAN CALL

The latest, as revealed by Fabrizio Romano, is that ARSENAL are still interested in signing Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran before the close of the transfer window in just a few days time.

Duran, who was linked with Chelsea and West Ham over the summer, has scored 12 goals so far this season, helping Villa continue their impressive form after they finished fourth last term.

Reports says the Gunners are still lacking an ‘outstanding number nine’ and believes Duran would be an ideal addition to Mikel Arteta’s squad, although it may be difficult to get the striker signed in the January window.

On his YouTube channel, Romano confirmed that Arsenal are one of those clubs having recently called Villa to understand Duran’s situation: “What I’m told is that also Arsenal made a call in the recent weeks to understand the situation of Jhon Duran, because Sesko, at the moment, no green light from Leipzig.

“Also Alexander Isak, the dream target of Arsenal. Super expensive, almost very complicated, impossible, nothing in football, but very complicated.

“And so in recent weeks, also Arsenal called to understand the situation of Jhon Duran, but no bid, no direct negotiations with Aston Villa.”

Asked who he thinks Arsenal should try and sign, reporter Iomie Stanley told icfootballnews that Duran is the player Arsenal should go for: ‘I think the Gunners should make a tempting offer to sign Duran from Aston Villa..

‘He looks a real handful and a bit different from the rest. He’s got that good presence about him. Arsenal take a chance on him, he looks like the real deal and a player that could develop into of the best forwards in the Premier League.

‘What I look for is people who are hungry, and he’s got that. In terms of the big boys, ARSENAL haven’t got an outstanding No. 9 and needs to make sure that they improve that department in January or at the end of the season

‘I also like Alexander Isak, he would be another good option for the Gunners to sign, I was really impressed with his performance against Ipswich at the weekend, he looks a handful. You can’t just go by one game, but he looks a threat.’
