Is this Newcastle United really such a disaster?

Is this Newcastle United really such a disaster?

Only eight days until the Newcastle United team lines up against Aston Villa.

The Premier League season kicking off on Saturday 16 August for Eddie Howe and his players.

Fair to say that a lot of balls are still up in the air, issues to be sorted.

However, I think a lot of people are making a drama out of a crisis, or should I say, a crisis out of a drama!

I totally understand the frustrations for Newcastle United fans when it comes to the faltering recruitment of extra/new players this summer.

However, a lot of people are now not able to see the wood for the trees.

Seeing disaster when instead it is simply a case of trying to improve and add to an excellent group of players.

If the football authorities suddenly announced the transfer window would close with immediate effect, this would be how the first choice Newcastle United team could line up:

Ramsdale/Pope

Livramento

Schar

Botman/Burn

Hall

Tonali

Bruno

Joelinton

Gordon

Isak

Elanga

So many minds have been blown.

I must have dreamt it when I thought so many fans had said Newcastle’s front six, midfield and attack, was as good as anything else in the Premier League, if not better.

Why wouldn’t you still be excited at the prospect of watching Tonali, Bruno and Joelinton, lining up with Gordon, Isak and Elanga?

Then if Isak did leave, it would be the case of the other five and a high quality replacement having arrived to make up that front half dozen. Barnes and Murphy are of course also options on the wings.

Whilst in Livramento and Hall, is everybody forgetting how brilliant these two young England internationals were last season?

We now have two England internationals competing to play in goal.

Whilst Schar, Burn and Botman competing for centre of defence and another option set to be added for sure before the window closes.

By all means get frustrated about the signings NUFC haven’t made so far BUT don’t choose to forget about and value the superb first choice Newcastle United team we will have next season regardless.
