The United States Men’s National Team has been forced to make several changes to their roster ahead of the start of the Concacaf Nations League Finals. Today. U.S. Soccer announced that defender Max Arfsten, midfielder Brian Gutiérrez and forward Jack McGlynn have been added to the USMNT roster. They will replace Antonee Robinson, Johnny Cardoso and Auston Trusty, who each were withdrawn from the roster due to injuries.
Both Arfsten and Gutiérrez were on the January Camp roster for the wins against Venezuela and Costa Rica, each earning their first two caps in those matches. Jack McGlynn was also on the January Camp roster, scoring the opening goal in the Venezuela match. He received his first cap in the 2024 January Camp match against Slovenia.
All three players are available for selection when the USMNT face Panama on Thursday night in LA in the Concacaf Nations League semifinal. The winner of that match will advance to the final on Sunday against the winner of Canada-Mexico. The losers of both semifinals will compete in the third place match, also to take place on Sunday.
