Lorenzo Venturino is a new Roma player. Born in 2006, he arrives in the capital on loan with an option to buy set at €7 million.
The former Genoa player has chosen his number: he will wear 20.
Tommaso Baldanzi, on the other hand, is going the opposite way, joining Daniele De Rossi’s team in Liguria.
Venturino gave his first interview as a Roma player to the club’s official channels: “It’s a thrill for me to be here. Rome is an important club with a beautiful stadium and a great history. I can only learn and improve from this experience.”
Venturino continued: “I want to make the most of it. I’m no longer a kid, and this can only be a wonderful experience. I’m quick, good in tight spaces, and I’m a good dribbler and shooter. I need to improve defensively and be more effective in the final stages of the pitch. I made my debut at the Olimpico, and in the last two years, I even scored a goal in the Under-18 final against Roma. I believe in coincidences like this.”
The striker then concluded by speaking about De Rossi: “Yesterday, we met before he left, and he wished me the best of luck and told me to make the most of this experience. Rome is a different city than Genoa, but I’ll adapt quickly and will definitely visit the Colosseum. There are great champions in this locker room. I know Pisilli well through the Under-21s, and I’m sure I’ll adapt well. My idol? Messi.”
