The ridiculous and addictive dating sim, Date Everything! is full of secrets and stories, with dateables hiding in plain sight all over the house. Whether someone wants to date their toaster, wall, or even existential dread, very little is off limits here. However, some of these friendly objects may not be as easily accessible. Despite the main protagonist having lived in this house for presumably their whole life, the key to the attic was lost many years earlier. Which is a shame, as there’s some good stuff up there.
While playing through Date Everything! for ScreenRant‘s review, I noticed the locked door on the second floor, but I had thought it would become unlocked during the story of the game. While romancing Hector, the HVAC, it came to a point where I had to get to the attic for things to progress, and I realized this was something I could have done all along. Dorian, the door, may be an imposing figure blocking the path, but talking to him more than once will reveal clues about where the key can be found, as well as even more dateables.
Date Everything!’s Attic Is Hiding Several Lovely Dateables
But Dorian Won’t Let You In Right Away
The attic space is where several Dateables are hiding away, though some are a bit upset at your lack of visiting. Lady Memoria, for example, who personifies memorabilia stored away in boxes, is certainly less than cheerful when you finally do meet her. However, Parker Bradley, the board game collection and one of my personal favorites, is quite the opposite, being full of enthusiasm and pure joy.
All Attic Dateables:
- Artt (Art)
- Hector (HVAC)
- Holly (Holiday decorations)
- Lady Memoria (Boxes of memorabilia)
- Monique (Money)
- Parker Bradley (Board games)
- Prissy Plastique (Fake plant)
- Sophia (Safe)
- Zoey Bennett (Ghost)
Many players are already considering this cozy game a Game of the Year contender, and some of these unique personalities in the attic will certainly add to that feeling. But, first we need to get in there.
Where To Find The Skeleton Key
You Must Go Down Before You Go Up
The first time you come to the locked door, Dorian lets you know that he won’t let you through without a key, and that you apparently were the one who put the key somewhere many years ago. Talking to the attic version of Dorian again on another day, he reveals a little more about the potential location of the key. Turns out, the key is down in a hidden crawlspace underneath the first floor.

Forget GTA 6, Date Everything! Is Already My Most Anticipated Game Of 2025
Date Everything!, a new indie dating sim by Sassy Chap Games, is my most anticipated game of 2025 thanks to a series of important factors.
Go back to the furnace room, located off the office, and click on the rug on the floor. This will make the rug roll back to reveal a trap door on the floor that leads to a tiny crawlspace with a ladder leading down.
If you can’t get down the ladder to the crawlspace, make sure you are not wearing the glasses.
This crawlspace is home to a couple of Dateables, including the totally bodacious time capsule who is a personification of the 1980s, a rather unsettling mousetrap, and a lonely little key tossed on the dirt floor. Keith, the skeleton key, does come with a Content Aware trigger warning, but whether you choose to skip his storyline or not, he will agree to unlock the attic door.
After talking to Bodhi, the time capsule, the first time, he will no longer be found in the crawlspace but instead resting on the arm of the sofa.
Unlocking The Attic Door Reveals An Interesting Relationship
Dorian And Keith Have Quite The History
As soon as Keith and Dorian are reunited at the attic door, it is made immediately clear that there is a history here. Without giving spoilers, I will say that through the dialogue that ensues, combined with the trigger warning received earlier regarding Keith, things didn’t go too well for the rather stereotypical pair, and they are now good friends.
Having access to the attic unlocks many more stories and adventures for you while learning to see your house in a new light. With over 100 Dateables to be found, this may not seem like much, but they all play important roles. Also, make sure to head to the attic in the middle of the night sometime to find a friendly ghost as well in Date Everything!
