The Hunting Wives star Brittany Snow has teased that season 2 of the show is set to be crazier than season 1. The steamy Netflix thriller became a global smash-hit following its release on July 21, 2025, and was the most streamed TV show in the United States for the week of July 25 to 31, accumulating over two billion minutes viewed.
With a stellar cast headed by Snow, Malin Akerman, Dermot Mulroney, Chrissy Metz, and Katie Lowes, The Hunting Wives show was adapted from the novel of the same name by May Cobb. Following the success of the twisty soap-style thriller, The Hunting Wives season 2 was renewed in September 2025.
During ScreenRant‘s Murdaugh: Death in the Family interview with Snow, the actress revealed that season 2 of the show is set to begin filming in a couple of weeks. She didn’t give away any of the plot details, but she revealed that The Hunting Wives season 2 is set to be crazier than the first. Check out Snow’s comments below:
Brittany Snow: We start in a couple weeks, in the beginning of November, so it’s definitely happening and I’ve heard some whisperings of what the show is going to be about this season and somehow it’s crazier than last year.
What made The Hunting Wives‘ first season so popular was its mix of soapy drama, twisty crime thriller, and interesting, multi-dimensional characters. Season 2 will need to raise the stakes even further, and based on Snow’s comments, this is likely to be the case, with the bar seemingly raised on where the show will go in season 2.
Of course, Snow is careful not to give anything away, but following The Hunting Wives season 1 finale, there is sure to be mass fallout from the revelation that Margot killed Abby. The show, at its heart, is centered on Sophie and Margot, and their relationship is set to be put to the ultimate test next season.
The Hunting Wives has been a huge success, largely due to its soapy undertones, and compelling murder mystery. The show has definite echoes of the successful HBO psychological crime-drama Big Little Lies. If things can get bigger, bolder, and more ambitious in season 2, the show could have the legs for a long run on Netflix.
A show as sleek and sexy as The Hunting Wives is bound to perform well on streaming, and the groundwork has certainly been laid for the series to continue in dramatic fashion. Blending themes of class, wealth, complex relationships, desire, secrets, and more has made The Hunting Wives a show that could become a modern classic.
