‘F1’ Overtakes ‘Sinners’ as the Most Successful Original Film of 2025

Despite being dethroned by F1, Sinners is by no means a slouch. The film was just recently released on home video and digital streaming, becoming available to watch on HBO Max, and is currently in the second spot of the top 10 movies of the week on the platform. Overall, Sinners ended its box office run with $365.8 million worldwide, an impressive sum even when compared to F1’s $510.8 million global total, which still has time to increase.

Overall, it was the international box office where Sinners struggled, which might have been due to a lack of marketing on Warner Bros.’ part. While F1 had a successful run domestically, it was overseas that the movie truly found its stride, earning an impressive $345.2 million internationally.
