Every Movie & TV Show Trailer From SDCC 2025

This list will be updated as more SDCC trailers are released, so be sure to check back.

San Diego Comic-Con 2025 will be missing some of its major players from the past, but it’s still positively loaded with the latest trailers and details from some of the biggest movie and TV releases coming in the next calendar year. While typical stalwarts Marvel and DC won’t have a major cinematic presence or presentation, many of Hollywood’s biggest players are still on the docket for July 24th-27th.

In fact, it seems as though the major studios who will have a presence are taking advantage of a year that won’t have a splashy headline-grabber like Marvel’s Robert Downey, Jr. Dr. Doom casting to promote some of their smaller properties. With the spotlight available, it seems like there will be more trailer releases, footage reveals, Lego set unveilings, and guerrilla marketing than we typically see.

San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H panels will still be the highlights of the convention, despite Sony, Warner Bros., and Paramount all skipping the event this year. Disney, HBO, Lionsgate, 20th Century Studios, and even Comic-Con first-timer George Lucas will all be there to promote projects like Predator: Badlands, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, Alien: Earth, and more.

Some of the most exciting trailers that will be shown at Comic-Con have already hit the internet, sparking plenty of conversation before the event even got underway. Check back here as Comic-Con unfolds, as Screen Rant keeps you updated on the latest trailers, merchandise, and breaking news from the biggest panels.

Predator: Badlands

The Latest Entry In The Iconic Sci-Fi Action Franchise

Excitement around the seventh film in the main Predator franchise continuity is already sky-high thanks to the reveal that it exists in the same universe as the reinvigorated Alien franchise. Hot on the heels of the highly-acclaimed animated anthology movie Predator: Killer of Killers, Predator: Badlands will introduce a new concept to the franchise: a Predator as the protagonist.

Starring Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi as the outcast Dek and Elle Fanning as the (top half of) Thia, the Weyland-Yutani android that he teams up with, Predator: Badlands will follow a young Predator on his first hunt on what is labeled as “the most dangerous planet in the universe.”

Director Dan Trachtenberg appeared at the Hall H panel alongside Fanning and Schuster-Koloamatangi, and along with discussing some of the process behind Predator: Badlands, he revealed that an addition to the Predator: Killer of Killers post-credits scene featuring Naru from Prey will be streamable on Hulu at 7PM PST/10PM EST, which features the franchise’s other Predator-killers Dutch and Mike Harrigan.

Alien: Earth

The FX And Hulu TV Series Will Take The Xenomorphs Where They’ve Never Gone Before

The success of Alien: Romulus and Prey reignited public interest in the dueling sci-fi monster franchises from the 1980s, and certainly in the seemingly inevitable cross-over between the two. Alien: Earth is the next step forward, and in addition to being the first TV show in the Alien franchise, it will depict the first occasion a Xenomorph has touched down on Earth.

While series showrunner Noah Hawley has been up front that the series may not be religious to all the established lore of the franchise, particularly the ancient origins laid out in Prometheus, we can expect plenty of existential dread and viscera as a band of survivors attempt to contain not only a Xenomorph, but several other ultra-deadly creatures from around the universe.

Hawley, executive producer David W. Zucker, and the show’s cast previewed the first episode of the show at Hall H. Hawley also specifically mentioned that there is no plan for the show to cross over with the Predator franchise, but that certainly seems like it can be taken with a grain of salt.

The Toxic Avenger

The Remake Of The Cult Classic Splatter Film Stars Peter Dinklage Atop A Shockingly Loaded Cast

The box office viability of ultra-gory horror movies like Terrifier 3 and The Monkey has helped get movies like the remake of The Toxic Avenger greenlit, and the genre is better for it. The unrated reboot of the former franchise of the same name debuted at Fantastic Fest way back in 2023, but ahead of its August 2025 wide release the movie has captured a Thursday night Hall H panel.

Starring Emmy Award-winning Peter Dinklage as the eponymous mutant hero, The Toxic Avenger chronicles the exploits of a former janitor who is mutated into a mop-wielding vigilante who fights crime and corruption in exceptionally bloody fashion. The panel will feature writer/director Macon Blair and the incredible cast, which includes Kevin Bacon, Elijah Wood, Jacob Tremblay, and Julia Davis alongside Dinklage.

Tron: Ares

The Third Installment In The Long-Running Cult-Turned-Mainstream Franchise

Disney resurrected the Tron franchise with Tron: Legacy in 2010, and it was a modest success at the box office. On a massive budget of $170 million, it made back $409.4 million, with the bulk of the profit coming from the overseas market. It was enough to inspire Disney to move ahead with Tron: Ares, which will act as a soft reboot instead of a direct sequel to Tron: Legacy.

Tron: Ares also has a Hall H spot this year, although it remains to be seen what that entails. The movie will flash forward into the future where the lines between virtual reality and physical reality are muddled, and an intelligent program named Ares (Jared Leto) enters the real world as the first genuine A.I. entity.

Five Nights At Freddy’s 2

The Sequel To 2023’s Box Office-Busting Video Game Adaptation

Emma Tammi’s adaptation of the popular video game franchise Five Nights at Freddy’s was one of Blumhouse’s most profitable films of the last five years, as it grossed $297 million on a budget of just $20 million. Despite being widely panned by critics, the movie about a restaurant haunted by possessed animatronic characters seeking vengeance was more than profitable enough to earn a sequel.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 will see the return of Josh Hutcherson and Elizabeth Lail in the main roles, alongside the returning Matthew Lillard and Piper Rubio. As it stands, the Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 panel will feature appearances from Hutcherson, Lail, and Lillard, and they’ll most certainly show and discuss the trailer that was just released ahead of Comic-Con.

Keeper

Neon’s Latest Movie From Longlegs And The Monkey Director Osgood Perkins

Osgood Perkins established himself as a name to watch with 2024’s box office and critical juggernaut Longlegs, and his gore-splattered Stephen King adaptation The Monkey proved to be a solid, if unspectacular follow-up. His next movie, Keeper, is set to release on November 14th, 2025.

Only minor details about the supernatural horror movie’s plot have been revealed, and the teaser trailer, while intriguing, doesn’t provide much more insight. It will star The Monkey star Tatiana Maslany and Rossif Sutherland, and features a couple on an anniversary trip that are confronted by some sort of dark entity in a secluded cabin in the woods.

Gen V – Season 2

The Newest Trailer For The Boys’ Spinoff Was Shown At Comic-Con

The second season of the college-set spinoff of Amazon Prime’s acclaimed superhero series The Boys is set to premiere on September 17th, 2025. Set after the events of season 4 of The Boys, the next season of Gen V picks up Marie Moreau and her friends as they return to Godolkin University with the world on the brink of a war between Supes and humans.

The Long Walk

A Long-Overdue Cinematic Adaptation Of One Of King’s Oldest Works

The Long Walk is one of the simplest concepts that Stephen King has ever produced, yet until recently nobody was able to get a handle on it from a cinematic perspective. The dystopian horror movie from director Francis Lawrence and writer JT Mollner will feature several up-and-coming actors as young men who sign up to walk until they physically can’t and are killed.

The contest is overseen by a man known only as The Major, who is played by Mark Hamill in the movie. In addition to a riveting Q+A session, the audience at Comic-Con was treated to the first 22 minutes of the movie.

9

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – Season 3

The New Trailer Was Revealed For The Hit Zombie Spinoff

The trailer for the third season of the Norman Reedus-led spinoff of The Walking Dead, promising an almost Western feel for the new episodes. It was also revealed that season 4 is already in production, and that it will be the final season of the show.

Spinal Tap II: The End Continues

The Classic Mockumentary Comedy Sees The Return Of The Original Rockers

A follow-up to the original 1984 classic This Is Spinal Tap, the Rob Reiner-directed mockumentary sequel Spinal Tap II: The End Continues will see its original trio (Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer) return as the eponymous fictional English heavy metal band.

Just as the original satirized self-absorbed rock god mythology, the sequel will continue to break down the inherent narcissism that comes with being a mega-famous musician. This time though, Spinal Tap is getting together for a reunion show, their glory days long behind them.
