Every Movie Coming to Prime Video in December 2024

Prime Video, as one of the most popular and widely used streaming services, is well-known for its frequent addition of new movies and TV shows. With 2024 coming to a close, the streaming platform has much more to offer its subscribers, especially in regard to monthly films and TV shows.

As with every other month, Prime Video has planned a new slate of movies for December, ranging from some of DC’s biggest hits to classic Westerns that changed the course of the cinema forever. So, if you’ve been wondering what one of the major streaming platforms has in store for the end of the year, here’s a list of every movie coming to Prime Video in December 2024.

‘Joker’

Even though Joker: Folie à deux was a musical mishap that failed to live up to its predecessor, Joker, which was released in 2019, is regarded as an exceptional film. It makes sense because we haven’t seen a perfect origin story in live-action so far, and this film delivered precisely that.

In the movie, Arthur is a failed comedian who is highly passionate about making people happy but is instead made fun of and bullied by those same individuals. What happens when all the negativity awakens his alter ego, transforming him into the dangerous clown as he comes to be in the future? Joker will be available to stream on Prime Video on Dec. 1.

‘The Batman’

No matter how many Batman remakes are made, audiences never complain because the majority of them have waited a long time for the comic-accurate adaptation. In this regard, The Batman, released in 2022, is by far the most accurate representation of the caped crusader, and Robert Pattinson did not disappoint in portraying him whatsoever, as opposed to what many expected.

‘Once Upon A Time In The West’

Once Upon A Time In The West is a 1969 spaghetti Western film directed by Sergio Leone and based on a story by Dario Argento. The film has been praised as one of the greatest films ever made, and most people hope that if there is to be one last Western, this would be it. The official synopsis for Once Upon A Time In The West reads as follows:

There’s a single piece of land around Flagstone with water on it, and rail baron Morton (Gabriele Ferzetti) aims to have it, knowing the new railroad will have to stop there. He sends his henchman Frank (Henry Fonda) to scare the land’s owner, McBain (Frank Wolff), but Frank kills him instead and pins it on a known bandit, Cheyenne (Jason Robards). Meanwhile, a mysterious gunslinger with a score to settle (Charles Bronson) and McBain’s new wife, Jill (Claudia Cardinale), arrive in town.

‘A Quiet Place: Day One’

A Quiet Place: Day One turned out to be a really unexpected film, and not in a bad way, because its predecessors had set extremely high expectations. However, this prequel had an entirely different way of telling the story. The plot revolves around a young woman named Sam who is excited to be in the city with her pet cat, Frodo, but when alien creatures with ultra-sensitive hearing invade it, she is left to fend for herself, trapped with a few other survivors.
