October 31 – Football video gamer eyes will be focussed on Atlanta this weekend as the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier takes centre stage at DreamHack, marking the first time EA Sports’ flagship competitive football series joins forces with the world’s biggest gaming festival – a milestone moment that signals just how fast FC Pro is growing in stature.
This weekend 64 of the world’s best FC players will battle it out for their share of $152,000 of total prize money and, crucially, a ticket to the FC Pro Open Group Stage – the first major silverware of the new gaming season and a stepping stone to the 2026 FC Pro World Championship, where a $1 million prize pool awaits.
That is still a few miles away, though, and even getting to this stage has been a test of endurance. Before the main event kicks off, a 256-player Last Chance Qualifier will whittle the hopefuls down to just four survivors. Those four will join 12 pre-qualified players from last season’s FC Pro circuit, alongside 48 regional qualifiers who’ve earned their shot through fierce competition in the FC Pro Open Ladder.
The action unfolds across two days and two stages. The Swiss Stage on Saturday, will determine the top 32, before stepping up a gear on Sunday with a double-elimination Knockout Stage split into four brackets.
The top four from each bracket will advance to the FC Pro Open, completing a 16-player lineup that already features some of the sport’s elite – including Vejrgang, Obrun, Levi de Weerd, ManuBachoore, and Nicolas99fc.
For the first time, FC Pro’s Global Qualifier is part of DreamHack, an event that sees multiple titles will converge under one roof.
Fans can follow the action live on EA SPORTS FC Twitch, FC Pro YouTube, and across FC Pro’s social channels (X, Instagram, TikTok).
