Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is the biggest anime movie ever, so fans across the globe are waiting with bated breath for any news about Infinity Castle Part 2. Beyond the movie’s confirmation and foreknowledge of the manga source material, little is known about the upcoming film.
While fans eagerly await the next adventure of Tanjiro, Nezuko, and the Demon Slayer Corps, the series’ stars are getting just as hyped up.
At Anime Pasadena 2025, ScreenRant spoke to Tanjiro and Nezuko’s English dub actors, Zach Aguilar and Abby Trott, to ask for their thoughts on Infinity Castle’s tremendous success and what’s next for the series. While Aguilar and Trott said they know about as much as fans do in terms of Infinity Castle’s sequel, they did tease some big things coming for their characters in the sequel.
Abby Trott and Zach Aguilar Hype Up Demon Slayer’s Biggest Story Yet
While Nezuko doesn’t feature much in Infinity Castle‘s first part, Trott still spoke of the film with reverence, hyping up the film’s epic battles and the incredible animation by Demon Slayer’s studio, Ufotable.
I can’t spoil much! But I’m okay with Nezuko not being front and center in this film because there are so many incredible characters and stories unfolding. I’m really excited to see more of the epic battles.
The fight animation in Demon Slayer — the breathing techniques, the Blood Demon Arts — it’s all breathtaking. Seeing those sequences on the big screen is unreal.
Aguilar agreed about the animation, but also teased a bit more about the exciting parts of Demon Slayer that have yet to be adapted.
Honestly, I’m so excited to see how they’ll adapt the rest of the story. Ufotable has absolutely raised the bar every single time — the visuals, the emotion, everything. It’s clear that everyone involved truly cares about doing the manga justice.
There’s some really big, emotional stuff coming for Tanjiro — things I can’t say yet — but I think fans are going to be blown away when they see it play out.
Aguilar and Trott clearly have high expectations for Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2, a sentiment that is surely shared by fans who saw the record-breaking anime film in theaters.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 Will Be An Emotional High Point For the Series
Though fans of the manga likely have a clue about the events that Aguilar is teasing, those who have only seen the anime and its movies are probably more in the dark.
Without giving anything away, Aguilar’s assessment is probably correct. Demon Slayer is known for its emotional moments, and if Infinity Castle Part 2 follows the manga as closely as the first part did, then that emotional charge will reach its zenith soon.
There are truly moments in the upcoming film that should stick with fans for years to come as the story of Tanjiro and Nezuko draws to a close.
Demon Slayer’s Future Is Still Uncertain Despite Infinity Castle’s Record-Breaking Numbers
While it is clear that cast members like Aguilar and Trott are immensely excited for Infinity Castle Part 2, what’s less clear is when the movie will release and what will happen to the anime series once the trilogy is done.
Ufotable has been conspicuously hush in regard to Infinity Castle Part 2’s release date, and hasn’t even given the hypothetical film an official title. Fans believe Infinity Castle Part 2 will release in 2027, which would mean 2026 could be the first year without new Demon Slayer anime material since the series premiered in 2019.
Still, as Aguilar and Trott have hinted, the film should be more than worth the wait when it does drop. While fans may not know the precise release date for Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2, they can be assured that when the film does drop, it will more than meet the lofty expectations put upon it.
