Lions (-8.5) vs. Vikings

The Lions are 5-1 in their last six games, and have given up 10 or fewer points in each of their past two games at home. In addition, Detroit is 5-0 against the spread in its last five home games against Minnesota. The Lions enter Sunday’s bout ranked third in the NFL in scoring offense, averaging 30.7 points per game. The model is projecting the Lions to record a double-digit victory on Sunday, helping Detroit cover the spread in 55% of simulations.

Chargers (-10) vs. Titans

The Titans are arguably the worst team in the NFL, and Tennessee is 0-11 against the spread in its last 11 games at home. The Chargers are also 13-3 in the last 16 meetings against the Titans. Los Angeles’ offense is averaging 378.5 yards per game this season, fourth-most in the NFL, while Tennessee is averaging a league-worst 248.8 yards per game. SportsLine’s model is backing Los Angeles to cover the spread in 57% of simulations, targeting the Chargers as one of its top Week 9 NFL picks.

Packers vs. Panthers: Over 44.5 points

The Packers rank inside the top five in the NFL in scoring offense, averaging 27.6 points per game. The total has gone Over in four of the last five games for both of these teams, and the Over has hit in five of Carolina’s past seven games against an opponent from the NFC North. SportsLine’s model is projecting these teams will combine for 51 points on Sunday, helping the Over hit in 66% of simulations.
