CHELSEA have now confirmed that they are happy to announce Ato Ampah has signed a new contract until 2028 and ended the immediate speculation regarding the future of the winger.
Chelsea have had a great summer already, they have made some really good signings, they have won the club world cup and they are looking like a side that couuld really challenge for that Premier League and Champions League title.
But the Blues have also been handing some of the younger players contracts that will keep them at the club for the foreseeable future, and now the Blues have announced that Ampah s the latest talent to be signed up.
Chelsea posted on the club website ‘Joining the Blues Academy as an under-11 from grassroots football, Ampah progressed through the youth ranks at Cobham and showcased his quality in both our Under-18s and Under-21s sides in the past four seasons.
‘Last term, he made 29 appearances for our Under-21s across all competitions and scored five goals.
‘A confident and direct wide player, the 19-year-old was also handed his senior debut when introduced at half-time of our UEFA Conference League victory over Astana in Kazakhstan.
‘Ampah has also featured on the international stage, representing England Under-18s.
‘Congratulations, Ato!’

CHELSEA like to sign up their young talents and then maybe sed them out on loan for a few seasons, and that may happen to Ampah as the lad is not quite ready to make an impact on the first team squad.
It is some good news that he has agreed a contract, but the chance of playing for the Blues first team is a long way off as that Chelsea squad is already full of world class players.
