The 2026 MLS All-Star Game is headed to North Carolina.
Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium will host the summer event for the first time in its history, MLS announced Wednesday. It will mark the 30th edition of the MLS All-Star Game.
“Charlotte has turned into a big-time soccer city, and we are pleased to bring the 2026 MLS All-Star Game to the Queen City,” said MLS Commissioner Don Garber. “The city and region keep showing up for the sport, from packed Charlotte FC crowds to global events like the FIFA Club World Cup and Copa América the past two summers. We’re excited to bring another marquee soccer event to Charlotte.”
Bank of America Stadium is home to MLS side Charlotte FC, as well as the Carolina Panthers of the NFL. Charlotte FC made its MLS debut in 2022 and welcomed a league-record 74,479 fans to its home opener at the stadium.
Charlotte FC reached the MLS Cup Playoffs last season before suffering elimination at the hands of eventual Eastern Conference Champions, New York Red Bulls.
The opponent for the 2026 MLS All-Star Game will be determined at a later date.
A team comprised of Liga MX All-Stars will oppose MLS’ best in the 2025 All-Star Game in Austin, Texas on July 23. Liga MX and MLS have squared off in four of the last five All-Star Games.
