Canada Soccer collaborates with BMO as Banking and Financial Service Partner

March 3 – Canada Soccer has brought BMO on board as its new Official and Exclusive Banking and Financial Services Partner, as well as training kit sponsor for both of Canada’s national teams as it looks to get a slice of that FIFA World Cup exposure.

The deal stretches across the men’s and women’s programmes and the TELUS Canadian Championship, formalising a relationship that builds on BMO’s existing footprint in the game.

“We are thrilled to welcome BMO to the Canada Soccer family,” said Kevin Blue, CEO and General Secretary, Canada Soccer. “BMO has a long and proven track record of investing in the growth of soccer nationally, and this new partnership further strengthens our shared commitment to developing the sport from coast-to-coast-to-coast. Together, we will support our National Teams, inspire the next generation, and bring meaningful soccer experiences to communities across the country.”

The branding rolls out straight away. The Women’s National Team will debut BMO-branded training wear at the SheBelieves Cup to mark the start of their 2026 campaign – having won the opening match 4-1 over Colombia on Sunday they will face USA tomorrow.

The bank will also act as Presenting Partner for Canada Soccer’s 2026 Send-Off Celebration, built around Men’s National Team fixtures in Edmonton and Montreal ahead of this summer’s co-hosting of the World Cup.

“BMO is proud to be the exclusive banking partner of Canada Soccer at such a defining moment for the sport in our country,” said Catherine Roche, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, BMO.

“As Canada prepares for back-to-back FIFA World Cups, we’re honoured to support the Men’s and Women’s National Teams and unite Canadians through sport. This partnership builds on BMO’s two decades of commitment to growing the game, supporting athletes at every stage, and helping shape a stronger future for soccer in Canada.”

BMO’s logo will feature front and centre of training apparel across all national team programmes rather than on match kits themselves, keeping the visibility concentrated around camps and preparation environments.

“It’s great to see BMO partner with Canada Soccer,” said Alphonso Davies, captain of the Men’s National Team. “As a BMO Ambassador, I see this as a positive step in continuing to grow the game.”

“As a player, you feel the impact when organisations truly invest in the growth of the game,” added Women’s National Team midfielder Julia Grosso. “Having BMO’s support for Canada Soccer means more access, more opportunity, and more inspiration for the next generation of Canadian soccer players.”

Alongside the elite focus, both sides referenced grassroots and community programming tied to accessibility and youth pathways.
