Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 is finally set to premiere on Disney+ in March, but that has not stopped details of the upcoming MCU series from surfacing online. As the new trailer suggests, Born Again will directly follow up on the events of the beloved Netflix series after a significant creative overhaul saw the first season length get cut in half. For nine brand-new episodes, fans will finally be able to see Charlie Cox and Vincent D’onofrio share the screen once more in the heart of the battle for New York City. Plot details for Born Again have remained relatively unearthed, but a new leak just revealed the names of each episode.
Via Nexus Point News, every episode of the nine-part season of Daredevil: Born Again features a unique title that vaguely describes the plot. It’s unclear exactly what each name represents, but the following titles “Heaven’s Half Hour” and “The Hollow of His Hand” likely refer to Matt Murdock’s faith. Meanwhile, “Art For Art’s Sake” may refer to the show’s mysterious new villain, the sadistic serial killer Muse. The report revealed all titles for the nine episodes, but not in any specific order:
- “Heaven’s Half Hour”
- “With Interest”
- “The Hollow of His Hand”
- “Straight to Hell”
- “Sic Semper Systema”
- “Isle of Joy”
- “Excessive Force”
- “Art For Art’s Sake”
- “Optics”
Typically, diehard MCU fans are able to decipher the plot of the show just by episode titles, but Marvel is intentionally vague here when it comes to Daredevil: Born Again. That said, one of the most interesting names included in the above list is “Sic Semper Systema.” This seems to be a riff on the Latin phrase “sic semper tyrannis,” which refers to tyrants being inevitably overthrown. The switch to “systema” for the MCU series may refer to the breakdown of an entire system, and if we’ve learned anything about the world of Daredevil, it’s that the Man Without Fear is not afraid of going head-to-head with an army of enemies, in the shadows or out in the light.
‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 Is Already on the Way
While Daredevil: Born Again is set to premiere on Disney+ on Mar. 4, 2025, a second season is already well on its way. In fact, Charlie Cox recently confirmed that when Season 1 debuts later this year, Season 2 will have already started filming. The quick turnaround is likely due to the fact that the first season’s episodes were reworked and brought down to nine episodes instead of the initially announced 18. However, Kevin Feige is already envisioning several more seasons of the new MCU series.
“It’s been so many years since we released any Daredevil content. I’m really excited about it. By the time we release [Born Again] on March 4th, we’ll already be shooting season 2. So it’s just a gift that keeps on giving, really.”

The Daredevil actor would want to take on a more villainous role should he join James Gunn’s DCU.
Of course, the future of Daredevil: Born Again likely rests on how audiences respond to the first two seasons. Disney+ has historically had some problems with its Marvel output, and while their most recent live-action outing Agatha All Along proved fans wrong, Born Again is in a unique spot due to having to live up to sky-high expectations. Netflix released three widely-praised seasons of Daredevil and even though Born Again is not necessarily a fourth installment, it will surely be difficult to separate them.
