Book a Taylor and Travis-inspired honeymoon using points and miles

It’s been a long time coming …

Fresh off the heels of her iconic “The Eras Tour,” Taylor Swift dropped her 12th album, announced an upcoming Disney+ six-part tour docuseries and got engaged to her “best friend,” who she “think[s] is hot.” We’re talking about future Hall of Fame tight end Travis Kelce.

Now, while this showgirl continues to promote her numerous projects through the end of the year, we wouldn’t be surprised if Taylor has begun wedding planning. Though she hasn’t announced an official date yet, some die-hard fans believe Taylor and Travis will tie the knot on Saturday, June 13, 2026. The number “13” is hugely symbolic for the pop star.

But while Swifties try to decode the date and venue location of the wedding of the year — well, who are we kidding, the century — TPG can’t help but imagine where the lovers will honeymoon.

With money being no object and the duo seeking privacy to enjoy their newlywed bliss, here are six potential destinations where they are likely to honeymoon. And, if you’re wishing to vacation like Taylor and the Big Yeti, here’s how you can go to new heights to book these bucket-list getaways using points and miles.

A Hawaii honeymoon fit for Taylor and Travis

Hawaii is a popular honeymoon destination, even among A-list stars. And those up on their Taylor and Travis lore know the couple loves a beach getaway, as evidenced by their 2024 vacation to the Bahamas. So it’s possible the couple could trade in their old-fashioneds for mai tais and fly to one of Hawaii’s popular islands, like Kauai, Maui or Oahu.

Known for its secluded location on Oahu, The Kahala Hotel & Resort has hosted many celebrities, including Elizabeth Taylor. Room rates for this hotel start at around $500 per night; however, this resort is part of the Leading Hotels of the World Leaders Club program, which means you can book it with points.

Award rates for standard rooms start at around 7,125 Leaders Club points per night. Even if you don’t have a stash of Leaders Club points saved up, you can also transfer Citi ThankYou Rewards points at a ratio of 5:1. Therefore, if you book a four-night stay at a rate of 7,125 points per night, you would need 28,500 Leaders Club points. So you’d need to transfer 145,000 Citi points to your Leaders Club account.

A Taylor and Travis honeymoon in Seychelles

Our designated homecoming king and queen could also spend their honeymoon on an African island in Seychelles, just like another royal couple — Prince William and Kate Middleton, now the Princess of Wales — did in 2011.

Known for white-sand beaches and beautiful turquoise waters, Seychelles can offer privacy, relaxation, a bit of adventure and ultrapremium service.

While the newlyweds may decide to honeymoon on a private island, there are some luxury properties you can book using points and miles, including:

If you don’t have a stash of Hilton Honors points — or enough American Express Membership Rewards or Bilt Rewards points you can transfer to Hilton — all is not lost.

Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island is part of Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts and Chase’s The Edit, which both offer perks like daily breakfast for two, availability-based room upgrades, up to $100 in property credits and late checkout based on availability to those who book through those credit card travel portals with the right card.

As for booking a flight route with points or miles, we recommend using an award search tool like Seats.aero, which shows award availability from specific airports and which loyalty programs to book through.

For example, in March and April 2026, award flights from Miami International Airport (MIA) to Seychelles International Airport (SEZ) start at 40,000 American Airlines AAdvantage miles. We also found business-class flights through United Airlines Mileage Plan starting at 88,000 miles.

Note that AAdvantage is a transfer partner of Citi ThankYou Rewards, and United Mileage Plan is a transfer partner of Chase Ultimate Rewards.

Recommended card: Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card (see rates and fees). Earn 75,000 bonus points after you spend $5,000 on purchases in the first three months from account opening.

Before transferring your rewards to airline loyalty programs, confirm award availability on the airline’s website.

A honeymoon in the Maldives for Taylor and Travis

KATIE GENTER/THE POINTS GUY

The Maldives is another luxuriously secluded and romantic destination that we can imagine the happy couple drifting off to after the wedding.

How secluded are we talking? We’re talking private-island exclusive. The Grammy-winning musician and her three-time Super Bowl champion husband could easily reserve the $40,000-per-night Four Seasons Private Island at Voavah at Baa Atoll. There, the couple can enjoy 5 acres of private-island joy, a yacht they can relax on together and a “resident pod of dolphins” that might inspire next year’s hit of the summer.

Of course, not all of us have a billionaire budget to visit the Maldives. But it’s still possible to take the trip of a lifetime to the island country to check off “overwater bungalow” from your bucket list. Some of the best options you can book with points include the Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa, starting at 25,000 World of Hyatt points for off-peak nights, or The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, from 126,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night.

Recommended card: American Express Platinum Card®. Find out your offer: You may be eligible for as high as 175,000 Membership Rewards points after spending $8,000 on eligible purchases on your new card in your first six months of membership. Welcome offers vary, and you may not be eligible for an offer.

Those aren’t your only options, though. Here’s a curated list of 34 Maldivian resorts you can book with points and miles. And, if you want to get there in style, might we recommend cashing in some points for a Qsuite experience with Qatar Airways, one of the most luxurious ways to get to the Maldives from the U.S on points and miles.

An African safari honeymoon for Taylor and Travis

ZACH GRIFF/THE POINTS GUY

Harking back to Taylor’s “Wildest Dreams” music video, perhaps Taylor and Travis could turn their honeymoon into a safari experience, searching for the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros and Cape buffalo) at an ultraluxe (and easy to buy out for privacy) safari lodge. Camps like andBeyond Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge in Botswana could make for an incredible experience in total luxury.

But did you know you can do a full safari with points and miles? One great option for regular folk is the JW Marriott Masai Mara, which opened in Kenya in 2023. There, adventurers can enjoy a tented suite with a deck overlooking the gorgeous Masai Mara, daily game drives in a Land Cruiser, bush meals and sundowner cocktails after an exciting game drive. There’s even an on-site spa for massage treatments, and each suite has a private outdoor Jacuzzi. An all-inclusive experience, rates at the JW Marriott Masai Mara start at around 214,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night for two people.

Recommended card: The Business Platinum Card® from American Express. Elevated welcome offer: Earn 200,000 Membership Rewards points after you spend $20,000 on eligible purchases within the first three months of card membership.

A Taylor and Travis honeymoon in Greece

While the musical “Mamma Mia!” may be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of a Greek vacation, the Mediterranean destination is also a great option for Travis and Taylor’s honeymoon. Taylor may not have any direct mentions of Greece in her music (yet), but she does favor Greek mythological references in many of her songs.

We all know they would fly privately, but it’s easy to get to on points for those of us without our own jet, thanks to nonstop options from the U.S. on United Airlines, Delta Air Lines and American Airlines. Many resorts close their doors during the offseason, but summer-season honeymooners have many options.

For a perfect mix of nearby city exploration and quiet tranquility, look at 91 Athens Rivera. It’s a Mr & Mrs Smith property (not currently bookable with Hyatt points, though we’re keeping our fingers crossed that this changes in the future) with five room types — including a Couples Cabana with Plunge Pool option that would be perfect for a pair of newlyweds.

Crete, one of the Greek islands that often feels like its own country, has multiple points hotel options for those who want to get away from the mainland. The Royal Senses Resort & Spa Crete, Curio Collection by Hilton is bookable for as low as 95,000 per night in June 2026, and the new JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa (one of TPG’s most exciting hotel openings of 2025) is bookable with as few as 44,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night. The new JW Marriott even has select rooms featuring private infinity pools.

Recommended card: Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card (see rates and fees). Earn 125,000 bonus points plus one free night award (valued at up to 50,000 points) after spending $3,000 on eligible purchases within three months from account opening. Certain hotels have resort fees.

Of course, we can’t talk about Greece without mentioning iconic islands like Santorini and Corfu. There is a Greek island for every type of traveler, including those looking for exciting nightlife, outdoor adventures or slow afternoons poolside.

Domes of Corfu (a member of Marriott’s Autograph Collection and bookable for as low as 68,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night in summer 2026) has suites with swim-up pools and is close to Old Town Corfu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Santo Mine Oia Suites is an adults-only resort carved into the Santorini cliffside, bookable via Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts. Domes Novos Santorini is another Autograph Collection hotel with a private pool in every single room (bookable for as low as 64,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night in May 2026).

A French ‘lune de miel’ for Taylor and Travis

Taylor just name-dropped the Hotel Plaza Athenee in Paris in her newest album, “Life of a Showgirl,” so France is already on her mind. The hotel is where Elizabeth Taylor lived for six months back in the 1970s, but there are many places throughout France that would also make for a romantic honeymoon.

In Paris, there are so many points options for accommodations — from the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome (starting at just 35,000 World of Hyatt points per night) to the Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris (a member of Chase’s The Edit, where you can get more than 2 cents per point in value thanks to Points Boost on the Chase Sapphire Reserve®).

But for those looking to get away from the City of Light for a more secluded honeymoon, heading south to the famous wine region of Bordeaux or the dreamy French Riviera destination Saint-Tropez (also mentioned by Taylor in her song “The Man” on her “Lover” album) is also a great option.

Recommended card: Chase Sapphire Reserve (see rates and fees). Earn 125,000 bonus points after you spend $6,000 on purchases in the first three months from account opening.

In Bordeaux, Le Palais Gallien is a stunning boutique hotel with suites with private terraces and Jacuzzis. While it’s not bookable via a traditional rewards currency such as Marriott or Hyatt points, you could redeem cash back or Capital One miles for your stay. For a more traditional points option, there’s also the InterContinental Bordeaux — Le Grand Hotel by IHG, bookable with IHG points or via Capital One as a Premier Collection property.

In Saint-Tropez, the intimate, 21-room hilltop Hotel La Ponche is a Mr & Mrs Smith hotel bookable with World of Hyatt points. We found availability as low as 26,000 points per night for a standard room, but the property’s more luxurious suites were closer to 70,000-80,000 points per night.

Bottom line

We may not know where Taylor and Travis will decide to celebrate their first days as husband and wife, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the duo chose one of these hot honeymoon destinations.

And you don’t have to be an A-list celebrity to vacation like one. If you’re looking to vacation (or honeymoon) like these megastars, using points and miles can help you book an aspirational trip. If you earn transferable credit card rewards, you can unlock some valuable award rates on flights and hotel stays.

Now’s your chance to experience a vacation like this showgirl, or in our case, a points and miles enthusiast.
