Barcelona produced one of their worst performances in quite some time when they succumbed to a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Atletico Madrid.
The heavy defeat did not leave Hansi Flick impressed at all, as the German now realised that Barcelona may already have one foot on the exit door in the Copa del Rey.
However, despite the sheer margin of the loss, Barcelona haven’t yet given up on the chances of a Remontada, with the dressing room conspiring a comeback against Atletico Madrid.
Roony Bardghji dreams of a comeback
One of the players who is hopeful of a comeback is Roony Bardghji.
Although not a first-team regular, the former Copenhagen youth prodigy is confident Barcelona are still in the game and is not losing hope anytime soon.
In a recent post on Instagram, Bardghji has put out a hopeful story, urging fans not to lose hope.
“Never lose hope, when it seems to you that it is the end, God will find a way,” he wrote, right after Barcelona’s heavy defeat at the hands of Atletico Madrid.
It appears Bardghji, who has featured in just over 500 minutes of competitive action this season, is indeed hopeful about a Remontada in the second leg, even though he is unlikely to play a key role.
He is not the only one, either. Even former Barcelona striker Sergio Aguero believes the Blaugrana can make a grand comeback if their top players, including Lamine Yamal, can bring out their A game in the second leg.
However, that’s perhaps understating the gravity of the comeback Barcelona will have to pull simply in order to level the scoreline.
