‘Arsenal have already got 5 midfielders who are better than Sandro Tonali’ Anders Limpar

Anders Limpar has been talking about Arsenal and Sandro Tonali.

The former Gunners winger reacting to the media claims of Arsenal interest in the Newcastle United midfielder.

The media doing their level best to target Newcastle United and try to unsettle the club’s players.

It comes with the territory, to an extent, when you have quality players.

However, the London-centric media especially selecting our northern outpost…

Anders Limpar declaring to SpilXperten: “I am not sure if Sandro Tonali can add anything to the Arsenal midfield. We have [as well as Martin Odegaard] Zubimendi, Declan Rice and even Mikel Merino who will come back. We have Norgaard who is unbelievable as well.”

Still more than three months until the next transfer window opens.

One-time Arsenal winger Anders Limpar going on to say: “Should Arsenal splash the cash for a player like Tonali? He would be number six [choice midfielder]. He is a hell of a player but I am not sure he would strengthen Arsenal. If Norgaard plays regularly and is trusted by the manager, he is going to be unbelievable for Arsenal, but he is not playing because Zubimendi and Rice are playing amazingly.”

It is always interesting/amusing, how the likes of Anders Limpar and others are so arrogant to think that it is simply a case of Arsenal deciding whether or not to take a player from Newcastle United. With supposedly no chance of the player saying no, nor indeed NUFC saying no.

Sandro Tonali has a current Newcastle United deal that runs until end of June 2030 (A contract to end of June 2029 and then United have the choice of whether or not to trigger another year on top of that). So no contract pressure whatsoever on the club to want to sell.

Anders Limpar ending with: “The midfield is not a spot where Arsenal needs a new player. They have five world class players, so Tonali wouldn’t fit in. In my opinion we shouldn’t buy him.”
