Arsenal fc news: Saliba Mbeumo Sane feature

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news, gossip and transfer talk that we think you guys could have missed from icfootballnews…

Real Madrid chief Emilio Butragueno has confirmed that the club are not planning to sign any player in the upcoming January transfer window amid reports that the Spaniards are interested in Arsenal star William Saliba.

The Frenchman has established himself as a key player and regular under manager Mikel Arteta over the last two campaigns, playing a crucial role in their last two campaigns as they finished second behind Manchester City in the Premier League table.

He is one of the big reasons why ARSENAL have been so defensively good over the past few seasons, and his partnership with Gabriel is arguably one of the very best in the Premier League and maybe even the Champions League.

There was some speculation that both Real Madrid and PSG were keen on trying to sign the Frenchman in the summer window, but Arsenal do not want him to leave, and the player himself has no desire to depart the Emirates right now, but that has not stopped rumours that Madrid are now keen on the player.

What Is The Latest?

Butragueno has now handed Arsenal a  transfer boost and confirmed that the club are not planning to sign any player in the upcoming January transfer window, despite the clubs poor start to the new season.

Speaking to reporters, Butragueno said, “Signings on January market? We trust our players. A few months ago we won the league and Champions League.”

We are sure that Madrid will try and tempt ARSENAL into selling Saliba one day and the defender may even be interested in making that move to La Liga – but for now – he is happy and is not leaving the club.

But if Madrid are looking for a long-term replacement for Antonio Rudiger – there is not many better out there that Saliba that is for sure and many fans will be expecting that a move is made at the end of the season.

LEROY SANE WANTED –

There has been some reports in the media which have claimed that ARSENAL are ready to make a move and try to sign Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane in the next transfer window or at the end of the season

Sane has developed into one of the best attackers in the Bundesliga over the past few seasons after making the decision to Leave Man City for the Bundesliga, but there has been alot of speculation regarding his immediate future.

The German has been in contract talks with Bayern for quite some time now, but has failed to agree a new deal with the club, meaning that Bayern chiefs are ready to cash in one of their best players.

The likes of Man City, Liverpool and even Newcastle have been linked with a move for Sane over the past transfer window, but According to Fichajes, both ARSENAL and Chelsea are keen on Sane.

The Germany international is nearing the end of his current deal at the Allianz Arena, meaning he is attracting plenty of interest ahead of potentially becoming a free agent next summer, and it has been claimed that the Gunners are ready to sign him for a bargain in the January window or wait until the end of the season to land the German on a free contract

Mikel Arteta has enough quality wingers to choose from at ARSENAL right now and adding another one may not be the priority for the Gunners boss right now, but Sane is a quality player.

He is proven at the very highest level of the game – is proven in the Premier League – and the kind of money that Arsenal could get him for in the January window means that he could be a real bargain.

But if they get him for a free in the summer, wow, that would be some great business by the Gunners

MBEUMO PRICE SET

Brentford have slapped an asking price of £60m on Bryan Mbeumo as he continues to be linked with the likes of ARSENAL and Liverpool after an impressive start to the new Premier League season for the attacker.

Arsenal started the new season in fine fashion with many tipping the Gunners to win that Premier League title for the first time since 2004, but over the past few weeks, their challenge has started to falter.

The Gunners have lost their last two games and are now plagued by a number of injuries that will only get worse over the course of the season with the amount of games the players will be playing, leading to reports that Mbeumo is a player that the club are very much interested in signing.

What is the Latest?

Only Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland has more goals than Mbeumo so far this season and reports say his form has caught the eye of Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle.

Given the growing interest in Mbeumo, Brentford are planning to tie him down until the summer of 2027 but are reportedly open to selling if a club makes an offer in the region of £60m According to Football Insider,

Brentford boss Thomas Frank has recently tipped Mbeumo to join a ‘bigger club’ at some stage: ‘He’s added another layer this year,’ he said earlier in the season. ‘I’m convinced one day he’ll play for a bigger club.

‘I’d definitely buy him if I were at a bigger club. That said, he’s very happy here.’

ARSENAL are lacking a 30 goals a season striker, they have a quality attack, but that is what they are missing. Mbeumo is having a great start to the new season, but for the kind of money that Arsenal would have to pay, they may aswell go out and get Viktor Gyokeres.
