CHELSEA seemingly have an easier chance of trying to sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid this summer, as reports have now claimed that Arsenal have made the decision not to make a move for the Brazilian star.
Rodrygo scored 13 goals and provided over 10 assists in over 50 appearances last season, but Tension has been building between the Brazilian and Real with the winger unhappy with his role in the team with his relationship with his teammates deteriorating significantly.
The former Santos starlet, who joined Real for €45million in 2018, is ‘angry’ with his diminished role and it has been claimed that he would be open to leaving the Spaniards over the next few months, with reports suggesting that he believes he has played his last game for Real.
Now, according to Fabrizio Romano Madrid could be willing to part ways with the Brazilian forward if a substantial offer arrives. The ultimate decision, however, will rest with both Rodrygo and new head coach Xabi Alonso.
Early in the summer transfer window, Arsenal were thought to be weighing up a £69m offer for Real Madrid’s Rodrygo, but the rumour mill promptly moved elsewhere.
It had been reported that they might wait until later in the window to talk down Real’s asking price, but new reports in the Spanish press claim that Arsenal may abandon a deal altogether.
After signing Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke, the Gunners would need to sell either Gabriel Martinelli or Leandro Trossard to finance a move for Rodrygo, according to Ben Jacobs.
icfootballnews says…
Rodrygo has been world class for a few seasons, he is playing at Real and scoring the goals that big time players should be scoring, but his time at the club is probably coming to the end as the Spaniards look to keep on improving the side.
If CHELSEA wants the player, they will sign him, But we are sure that they dont want him and a move will no longer be made.
